In fairness Bon Iver is objectively bad
*rightfully calls Clapton mediocre
believe it or not, some famous people still value their own privacy and making no public appearances for two months isn’t uncommon. even more so when most people probably recognized his mask more than his face
Yes, yes it can. Just because you don’t care doesn’t mean others don’t. Don’t be so dense.
Fellas, fellas, you're both wrong. Booze and mushrooms are both great.
I thought it was a great game.
I was just about to post this. It’s so hilarious to watch everyone lose their minds because they think THEIR opinion is more important.
I dunno, man. I feel the opposite. I loved it. I will definitely revisit both TLoU games again. Feels like I could annually replay a lot of the Naughty Dog games since Uncharted.
The gameplay was pretty standard fare, but I was way into the story and characters for both games.
Whoa, I’ve actually played, if not finished, every game up for Game of the Year this year. I’m pro Last of Us 2. I loved it. I get that people are all over Hades and Ghost, but those two just... didn’t do it for me. I’m still digging Hades, but I dunno if I’ll ever go back to Ghost. It is very pretty, but it just felt…
So many angry people in various twitch chats and the official youtube chat that absolutely hated TLOU2. People will find things to hate in anything. My wife and I really enjoyed it. How people can think it’s some Fem-Nazi propaganda is beyond me. People need more hobbies outside of video games, it seems.
I hope that the outcome of this game’s success is that publishers become more willing to make games that are 1. shorter and 2. not “full price”. If a developer has a great idea for a game but it just breaks down when stretched to 15+ hours, then make a shorter game! Not every title needs to be a $100 million open…
They’re oddly committed to a lot of things.
...Or how about the Mountain Goats song with a chorus that feels most appropriate to life in the continuous waking nightmare of 2020:
I mean, yes, but I don’t think “Global Pandemic” was also on a lot of game devs list of expectations for the year. I do agree with you with setting realistic goals but no one saw that one thing coming.
Having been at one of the first shows on Byrne’s 2018 tour, in Redbank, NJ, I have to say that the film is...good, but absolutely does NOT capture the ‘feel’ of being there. It’s an unfair ask, recording never has the energy of live performance, after all...but it is especially unfair here. While the cutaways to…
Good review but I dunno. It just didn’t work for me. Felt a little too staged. Like they were trapped in that blue Broadway box. I understand that this was the point but I found it to be more anxious than cathartic. And I feel bad because I don’t want to take any goodness that people got out of it.
I don’t think Spike…
I’m not sure if kids cruise anymore but this scene spoke to an entire generation of young adults who had spent the weekends of their teenage years aimlessly driving around, looking for parties and rocking out when an iconic song came on the radio
Having seen the show, here is the concept: babies, when they are born, have millions of more neurons than adults do, they just shed them as they grow. Byrne’s point is that maybe we can replace those neurons by making connections with other humans — that the networks we create can help expand our minds. As for the…
Boy, the imaginary show playing in your head sounds terrible. But I saw the American Utopia tour before it hit Broadway and I’ve never in my life seen a show less sad or robotic. It was remarkably life-affirming and uplifting, and that’s coming from a hardened Gen-X cynic who feels neither highs nor lows.
