Things have been going pretty well for me lately. New job, good money, great relationship, found a good balance with my antidepressants, it's sunny outside. All-in-all, I would say that I am happier than I've ever been.
Then Radiohead releases a new album.
And it's stunning. Just crushingly beautiful and unpredictable.

My favorite is Woman King. It's shamefully overlooked because it's an EP. It's kind of the bridge between Our Endless Numbered Days and Shepherd's Dog (my 3rd and 2nd favorites, respectively). Start to finish, it's absolutely gorgeous.

I saw them at a gay bar a few years ago, completely by accident, and I absolutely loved them. It was one of those rare "holy cow, this random band in this random bar is fucking awesome" moments.
Just the perfect combo of poppy, female surf punk. Glad to see they're getting some circulation.

Let's also remember that Norm Macdonald essentially won "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" (He had the million dollar question right but Regis prodded him until he walked away with a half million for charity).

Check out The Shins' cover of "We Will Become Silhouettes". It approaches the song from a different angle, giving it a pop/macabre feel that I freaking love.

I really enjoyed Mud but had problems with the resolution. The shootout felt out of place and, ultimately, unnecessary. It was too big of an action piece for such a small film, I felt like it was betraying itself. Suddenly there were assassins and high powered sniper rifles in a very human drama.

It's not your fault.

I really enjoyed it right up until the church scene. The movie became so giddy about ultra violence against innocent people, I couldn't stomach it.
I kinda wish the movie was PG-13. The R rating just pumped up it's worst tendencies. It made such a big deal about "manners make the man" but then the message of the movie

St. Vincent is the best but I feel like we're burying the lead, someone made a Rom-Com starring Ralph Fiennes and Tilda Swinton?! I can't wait to witness the meet-cute of a terrifying monster and an androgynous celestial. Will they happily survive on the hollowed out, soulless corpses of others or will he learn to be

Looks like it's time for my annual, drunken comment about how "Totalimmortal" fucking rocks.
It really does.
Welp, see you guys next year!

My girlfriend thought it was hilarious to send a group of furries after me while I was on acid at Burning Man.
I did not handle the situation with grace.

I've been fitfully trying to find a copy of The Man Who Fell to Earth. Somehow, it's out of print.

I'm fucking floored by this. Been mainlining Bowie all night. Hardly slept.
Even after thousands of listens, his music still makes the nerves in the back of my head and neck tingle. My eyes always begin to flood when "Heroes" hits. My head still bangs when "Suffragette City" rips open.
There are millions of colors

What?

This is the closest we'll get to Blood Meridian on film.

Is Spoiler Space still a thing? Because I really want to discuss this movie and I guess I'll just jump on this comment.
**Spoilers**

Whenever I get the chance, I like to tell people that Dolph Lundgren is a super genius with a Master's in Chemical Engineering. It just cracks me up endlessly.
Ivan Drago, Mensa uber mind.

The strap-on episode is the most perfect half hour to appear on television this year.

Gabagoul!
*gestures furiously with hands*

A friend lent me the first book, said it was "just like Game of Thrones"…
This neckbearding, superman, D&D fan-fic bullshit is complete garbage.
You can picture the author adjusting his fedora while thinking up the one millionth new thing that his insufferable main character can do better than everyone else on the
