That Darn Reel
I was lucky enough to catch this film at an 8 a.m. screening at Sundance and it fucked my world all kinds over. I can't really imagine the film without that 17 minutes because, even if those things aren't essential to the story, they mean a lot to the overall tone. Good, good movie. You will want to

ya know? Y'know? You Know? U know? Mortgages!!!

Last Comic Standing
He might just win it next.

On the real
Doom does have some great euphemisms for sex. Your favorite?

Their Show Tomorrow…
I won't be attending, because I live 700 miles away. And I have tickets, that couldn't be sold. Or refunded. Quasi-bummer as I saw them at 'Squatch, but still, man, fuck.

As One of Those Hipsters Who Owns the Super Friends on DVD
This excites me quite a bit. Almost as much as watching a posse of robot cowboys from space hunt down Batman.

Saw This at a Festival…
and it was a huge waste of 15 dollars. Of the "songs" in the film, about 10 minutes worth of them were awesome. The rest, godawful. What little artistry makes it into the film feels like a waste once you're done watching this. And I like Animal Collective and band/music films. A B is too kind.

I'm holding out for pseudo-Hunter S. Thompson. His hair is well ahead of him.

Someday Dat Phan's development deal with NBC will bear some fruit.

Buffy is a better example of suburbia with supernatural elements anyway.

I don't think you can really qualify that comment in this place. Perhaps on Livejournal…

@ I s'pose everybody:

As great as it is in dealing with minor characters' tics and habits over its long run, I think the Simpsons has a problem with Bart's continuity. What's convenient for the episode works, and then it's gone. And this is all coming from a place of love for the show.
