Ruth scares to me end and yet there's something inescapably captivating about her.

Oh, yes.

I sometimes still can't believe I've come to like the show and recommend it to friends. I jumped on expecting a Zooey Deschanel vehicle that would quickly crash and burn and ended getting some of my favorite characters on tv.

I keep forgetting in conversations about comedies because I can't even think of it as belonging in the same category as shows like Happy Endings and New Girls.
You're absolutely right however. The editing on Louie has been great from the first season, but it really outdoes itself in the final episodes of the third

@avclub-6997a8bd0e1042b70b60c5c879a1780e:disqus You said that much better than I did. What's interesting about the first season is that although there's very little release of tension by the end of the season, it makes that little feel like quite a bit in comparison.

Danger Mouse's "Rome" fading in the final moments of the Breaking Bad season 4 finale is one of my favorite moments of television.

I started watching when the season was 5 episodes in expecting to catch up over a weekend. It didn't work.

Yeah, I've been poking around for a little bit. There seem to be a core group of people including yourself posting regularly but other than that it's relatively inactive.

Ah, I didn't know this existed. Any reason it hasn't really caught on?

Hey guys.

This is pretty great. Seeing that thread makes me want to set up a forum even more. I like that we have these little corners of the site that we pick out for these things and that has it's own charm, but I think there's some value in having a dedicated forum.

@avclub-35f476bee2f5015ba0269e3b346f2d13:disqus Yes. He plays Raylan almost effortlessly and it's hard to tell how much he's having to work for it. Additionally Raylan really doesn't have any scenes that are big acting moments.

The story may taken a terrible turn in the last third of the season, but that doesn't change the fact that Damien Lewis delivered an incredible performance.

Oh yeah. Compared to actual computer science majors, my database structures knowledge is laughable.

Thanks, that's really nice of you.

@avclub-28b1819668d7c62501acb9852cad10a9:disqus This is true, and I'm actually surprised to realize this. Few of my friends have any interest in being serious writers of long form fiction.

Despite the fact that our program has been around for quite some time, you're right in thinking that it's ahead of its time. The biomedical industry hasn't yet figured out how to deal with our skill set, so anyone with serious interest in the field heads into academia.

I know some people at CRISP thanks to having spent quite some time needling doctors at Hopkins Med about what they'd like to see in an EHR, so I'll get in touch with them and see if there're any opportunities there.

GO BLUE JAYS!

With all due respect for your English degree, that's what I thought coming in too. Hopkins has the world's best biomedical engineering program. Our professors are people who did the groundbreaking research that brought it into existence.
