Yeah, my friends are all pretty smart people and I find it hard to believe they're not going to end up finding work for themselves.

I'm a pretty straight guy, and I definitely notice what shoes a girl is wearing. But I'm also the guy you could easily spend a half hour with discussing what Hedi Slimane's done with YSL (or rather Saint Laurent Paris) and how Alexander Wang to Balenciaga was a huge mistake.

They're pretty much perfect for summer too. This makes no sense.

What? That's a dumb survey. I can't imagine any circumstance in which a guy would  say "wedges" after being prompted to say which shoes they hate the most on women. There are two correct answers to this question: Uggs and Crocs worn as anything other than house slippers.

I'm thinking about getting myself a Global chef's knife, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to splurge on i yet. Any experience with expensive knives? Did they change your life?

I'd strongly encourage you to consider picking up coding skills. America's underproducing computer science grads to the point there's only one grad for every three job openings.

I am tempted to cancel my DC plans and just go watch this.

On a scale of "I'm getting into a pretty good school so it doesn't really matter" to "I will be unemployed and drowning in debt once I graduate", how worried are you about job prospects post law school?

Do you work with EHRs by any chance? A few of my friends and I thought about making a play for that market before we realized how stupid we were being.

My first post on the AVClub was a long, multiple hundred word vomit of my personal identity and how it relates to Mad Men and Don Draper so this is probably moot but I'll give it a shot.

You should buy this. It's nice way to deviate from the standard patterns of menswear - stripes, checks, plaids - without getting too crazy.

If you absolutely must pick just one color of slacks, at least have it be navy blue. But know that you'll have made me very sad.

Everlane is pretty good for quality basics. It'll be more expensive than picking up a similar item at Target, but they'll last longer so you'll probably save money in the long run.

I wish I felt comfortable in madras. It's weird because I'm ethnically from South Asia, spent a lot of time living there, so I should feel at home in it.

That Kenneth Cole's not half bad, which is pretty impressive because it's a brand I try to stay away from.

Kayaking.

This is blasphemy. Upstream Color was great @avclub-22eda830d1051274a2581d6466c06e6c:disqus , you just don't know it yet.

Yeah, no.

Yes, thank you. Unfortunately, I was guilty of this crime for many more yeas than I am proud of.

I got all excited because I thought we were going to have a fashion/style thread.
