Australian Rules Football!!!
Blue Moon demands an orange!
She was pretty nasty on an episode or two of The Rockford Files, too.
I was at college in Eau Claire, WI at the time. Most of our TV stations came in from Minneapolis. But I lived in southeastern WI, and it was weird how I felt closer to Mary when I was at school, and closer to Bob when I was at home. *g*
But My Three Sons looks totally natural in the follow-up spot! What could possibly be better after MI?
You're forgetting UHF stations, where you could watch old(er) shows. And independents, like WGN, for example. There were literally dozens almost a dozen several more than three choices. *g* It definitely helped to live between Chicago and Milwaukee, and pick up signals from both!
But of course Betty is all "Bzwahh?"
Peggy's ad idea was great. She did her job, and she did it spectacularly well. She was creative. But Ted's job was to keep the client's budget in mind, not to fall in love with Peggy's idea. "This is great! But we're going to have to go to them with a new budget proposal, so don't get carried away just yet."
Manolo can be as gay as it gets and still genuinely think Pete's mom is a nice woman. My interpretation of the phone call was that Bob started bitching about Pete being a jerk, and Manolo reacted with a "Gee, and his mom's so nice! You would think that her son would be nice, too, since she raised him."
Oh, geez, I can't believe I missed that!
I had that exact same experience watching GTWT in a theatre! I was, in fact, one of the women "aaaaaahhhhhh"ing as the camera zoomed in on Rhett. Gable may not have been pretty, but he was definitely handsome and sexy.
Superman and the Mole Men. Black and white. I believe you can find it on YouTube.
And don't call me Chief!
I think they just went to the beach for the day.
Except, he just got put on Chevy, remember? Although somehow I don't think Cutler meant to do him any favors when he did that…
Bob bought Pete toilet paper. It was SOOOO romantic!
No mention of my favorite character on the show: Inspector Henderson! http://www.youtube.com/watc…
Yes, I've seen that! Ms. Khoo is a delight, and her teeny-tiny kitchen is really adorable.
I've got that form of face blindness going on, too. It helps to watch with someone else, so I can ask, "Is that the same guy from earlier?" type questions.
I think it was convention coverage rather than the usual nightly news broadcast. Or, "breaking news."
