When Tennant's time as the Doctor came to a close, I remember being somewhat cynical concerning the sadness expressed by many of his fans. Now I get it. Smith was the first Doctor who truly appealed to me, and I will miss him.

Still funny. At least to me. I suppose the over saturation aspect could eventually lead to 'Anchorman 2' feeling like a documentary of sorts. Which could be fascinating, if not intentional.

A-. I am loving this show right now.

I thought it was great. Still do.

In a manner of speaking, yes.

I trust the AV Club implicitly. When my son was boozing and drugging, they did more than just offer words of advice; they saved his life.

After I use some slyly misogynistic witticisms to put the ladies at the pub in their proper place, I have to tend to the leaves in my front lawn. (Raking Cad)

Not to be Arthur Stickler, but Highland Park is a North Shore suburb of Chicago. It's about 20 miles north of the north side of Chicago. And, yeah, the house is positively quaint within the context of the neighborhood.

Sorkin writes damn good desk. Especially office desk.

I'm not thrilled with the portrayal of humans on The Newsroom. The furniture, however, is portrayed wonderfully.

About 20 minutes into this episode, I felt as if I had been watching for at least 2 hours.

This makes me inordinately happy.

I am perplexed by the "Season This vs. Season That" mentality. It seems pointless and distracting. August 11th, 1993 was the final day of Pope John Paul II's only visit to Jamaica. Think about it, people. Think about it.

Do these effectively hide my thunderous racism?

Thank you for a wonderful interview. Also, Todd's reviews of the episodes work well as a defense of his opinion that Slings and Arrows is one of the best TV shows ever. I've never seen another show that even approaches a more accurate portrayal of certain portions of the creative process or the madness that often

And I was disappointed, for the first four episodes. Then it picked up, and I thought the last three were very, very, good. I certainly hope it's ok with you that I feel that way.

You make it seem as if the reviewer is running for office. He isn't. There is no discernible upside to him leaving "himself room to wiggle into the right opinion at a future date". Seriously, what does that even mean? The "right opinion"? About a TV show? I thought there was subjectivity involved.

Thank you for a series of wonderful reviews of a wonderful show.

"Trouble at the mill" seemed like a Monty Python/Spanish Inquisition reference, as did the Doctor's fake accent when posing with Clara as a couple interested in Sweetville.
