Very short flashbacks this time around though, which is promising.

Fred Armisen's "Bicycle rights!" character from Portlandia was first against the wall when the revolution came.

Awful, awful, awful. Hank literally saying "The call is coming from inside the building"? Groan. The multitude of Rumplestiltskin anagrams? Head hit desk. Also, a critically missed opportunity for someone to yell "Ownage!" The Monroe/Rosalee scene and Renard gunning down the assassin earned the grade a plus, but

I definitely agree she's the weaker link, but she's no longer toxic to the show, and for S1 she was absolutely toxic.

They didn't have much to do this week, but I'm continually amazed that the show has managed to redeem Harrison and Abby. They went from being a nonentity with a catchphrase and an annoying bitch to being much more nuanced characters.

"I guess this is a collective work—some sort of follow-up to Joe’s first
novel, but with a different chapter written by a different killer, which
probably means the whole thing will be both incoherent and repetitive."

Seconded. So stereotypically evil and cruel for cruelty's sake.

As the person who reviewed "Cat and Mouse," I share Kevin's disappointment in the way this episode expanded the world of the Wesen. The Verrat/Laufey were an interesting addition that shaded the power dynamics, while the Wesen Council feels like something they just made up for the purpose of this episode. I don't see

Watch Grimm already, Todd. It's good! I promise!

Sigh. Looks like I was entirely wrong that Wade was going to be further incorporated into the Cul-De-Sac Crew shenanigans - introduced solely as an obstacle to the Laurie/Travis relationship, he was more of a presence on the show when he was still in Afghanistan than he was in these episodes.

You get it - but do you *get* it?

Something something danger zone.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Oh man, I blocked out that Asian coffee shop sketch. That was truly, truly dreadful.

You didn't get that memo? That term actually is there, along with an order to reference that Simpsons episode that featured AVC in it every third review.

Absolutely.

I feel like Barb didn't come into the picture until Jules started selling real estate, which is clearly not what she's doing for a living at that point in her life.

Obviously it was a fake story, but it was so wonderful I've retconned it into existence. Change approved!

We were merely FRESHmen!

Damn it, I want to party with Ron Mexico! I know it just happened last month but he deserves to be on this list.
