There are two more episodes this season, according to IFC - the winter special and the two-part premiere threw off my count.

First bringing Gbenga Akinnagbe on "The Leviathan," and now Anwan Glover here. Elementary's instinct to cast actors from The Wire is a smart and encouraging choice.

I was beyond pleased to see I called that correctly.

I completely thought that was going to be the case as well, and was very pleased when they went in another direction.

Nance losing her mind is one of the best things ever.

Thanks!

Some fun Holmes canon facts in this episode: in addition to the reference that Holmes is able to identify 140 different types of cigarette ash and has written a monograph on the subject, the story that he tells the support group about the stick and the mongoose is a version of "The Adventure of the Crooked Man."

Ron would have, but only because he should have been stronger than the food poisoning. When he eats, it is the food that is scared.

The episode has made me want to check it out.

That was indeed the reference I was making. In hindsight I should have linked to both of the sketches.

Tremors is the greatest movie of all time.

I was wondering about that myself. Shazam was no help in identifying it off my screener.

Seconded. I write his name in on every mayoral ballot when Portland has elections.

I had to buy the hummus! I need to attack Mayor Wilkins, and I know he'll never see it coming.

I've heard them all, no worries. I am immune to puns on my name.

You're right Ice! Gotta stay cool.

I hope my reference to it as a terrible pun didn't indicate I didn't think it was hilarious, because it was.
