-Kirk Cameron, I'd say there's several Stephen King books (or novellas) that were better once adapted to movie form. Misery, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, The Body (Stand By Me) to name a few.
Christ, I only vaguely recall that one, and that was after looking it up on wikipedia. You've got to imagine that Comedy Central doesn't take these shows too seriously if they constantly order only 6-7 of them and run them in the summer. I suppose that's just their MO at this point, offer mid-level comedian X a…
I really liked Reality Bites Back last summer, which is apparently not returning. I think the reason that a lot of these shows go away is that they're pretty crappy. Dimitri Martin's show, Lewis Black's show, David Spade's show, David Allen Grier's show… Is there anybody defending those? The one I miss from time to…
When I heard the narration, I was wondering if that was something that was added to the episode after the series was cancelled (or not renewed). Maybe with the narration and some re-editing, they might be able to wrap up the series in a little more satisfying way.
We're no connoisseurs, but my wife and I like the Coppola wines, particularly the Shiraz. And while you'll pay $18 or more for a bottle at the grocery store, it's usually around $11 at the discount liquor store. (Woodman's anybody?)
I wish he could re do the Ali G movie. It would have been great in the style of Borat. And why didn't he go over and harass Andy on Conan last night? Halfway through the segment, I remembered they were a couple in Talladega Nights.
Anal cancer is the one you get after posting too many firsties, right?
Wow, I just watched the Mr. Show episode that Caruso referenced for the first time yesterday. What timing, and yes, well played.
Dr. R. It's not like this was just sprung on people this year. This transition to DTV has been in the works since at least 1996 when congress started the ball rolling. The Feb '09 shut off date for analogue signals (that was extended until today) was set back in 2005, after it was roughly estimated to happen around…
I get all the KQ love (I particularly liked 6 as well), but where is the Space Quest love? Just like KQ, but funny. Now that I think of it, weren't the creators of the two series husband and wife?
@Gringo
Leno's not keeping his studio for his new show. NBC is apparently unloading the entire Burbank lot and moving most of their operations to Universal. Besides, even though Leno and Carson filmed on the same lot, they weren't necessarily in the same studio.
According to a Mad magazine comic I read 20 some years ago, Christmas season starts just after Mother's day, and vice-versa with Mother's day season. But realistically, I swear I've seen the Marshal Fields (now Macy's) at the Woodfield mall (Chicago area) put up their X-mas crap in August.
It seems like there's an aspect of diminished expectations for the album that allows for this move. I mean, would they be doing a Target exclusive if they thought they could sell 500,000 copies by the end of the year? At this point, PJ can probably only rely on a shrinking group of hardcore fans, and don't expect to…
Actually here's a picture of the hooker, from the night in question, no less.
Jay did have a funny line. Something like, "What the hell were you thinking?". I imagine that Letterman could have delivered something at least that good, though.

Speaking of shows on the internet, anybody see the Conan promo? He was introducing people to the concept of "Television", saying that it's just like watching shows on the internet or your cell phone, but in a more comfortable chair, or something. Funny.
I'm not familiar with anything else he's done, but Steve Earle recorded the opening theme "way down in the hole" for the fifth season of The Wire.
