Ghost Light's quite simple. The Doctor takes Ace to Gabriel Chase mansion so she can confront her past (i.e. burning it down in protest of Manisha's death/because of the ghosts), while there they meet specimens of various species which were collected by Light, who was created to catalogue all life in the cosmos.

Very reference heavy episode. This is just what I caught, but Army of Darkness, Doctor Who, Commando, Wizard of Oz, every yellow peril novel… It was a very intertextual piece. Beautiful animation as well, some very odd imagery (especially the death sequence).
