@avclub-fe858281188f10005605ea7b1dd0bf7f:disqus I read a comment somewhere else that called it the AAU-ification of rap, and i thought that was a perfect description. Between the internet allowing rappers to collaborate with EVERYONE and everyone's desire to be on everyones good side to make sure they don't close off

Also, yes.

Budden and Bada$$, from what i've seen were thinking along the same line. Acknowledging the fire of Kendrick's verse, but at the same time being a tad miffed about an LA cat claiming NY. That whole region been a bit scarred "Since Snoop came through and crushed the buildings."

I love the whole track, and am surprised as hell at Big Sean's competency, but Kendrick came crazy. What i think people are missing is that its not the "i'm trying to murder you n——-" stuff that ruffled feathers, but him claiming KONY. Fabolous, Joey Bada$$, Joe Budden, etc. all were voicing their displeasure at a

While Bowe-Holyfield II is probably the most notable for the fan man fiasco, Bowe-Holyfield I is one of the best heavyweight fights of the last 30 years. The tenth round in particular is one of the most jaw-dropping things i've ever watched: https://www.youtube.com/wat…

Great fucking album, and so many great lines. Every time i listen i come up with a new favorite line and track. Right now it's 36" chain, mainly for "Heard she got a baby daddy and a nigga acting aggy runnin'
round talkin' ‘bout yeah he plexed

Probably, but if it racks up nominations and awards it might. My parents watch like 3 movies a year, until oscar season when they watch everything thats nominated just so they can know whats going on. Perhaps some honkey/cracker runs across it that way and becomes  a little less honkey-ish/cracker-ish.

.

that whole "cracker vs. n-word" debate was embarassing. For Christ's sake, one of the words they couldn't even show on the screen. By default that should render the debate pointless.

" If America needs a movie to make that much clear, God help us."  Yeah, you must not be too familiar with America if you don't think this movie is necessary.

I will def check that out, so thanks for the recommendation!

To be fair, he burst onto the scene at 17, im willing to give him a pass on the name. His music being pretty awesome also helps.

Come on, its not like the AV Club reviewed and loved both their albums from last year or anything, or that Killer Mike's was in one of their reviewers end of the year list, nope nothing to see here…

What i've been checking out:

Everytime i see that i'm amazed, and then get really sad, that Big L never blew up like he should have. L on the Roc with early 2000's just blaze and kanye production, ughh it would have been so perfect.

Yeah i thought the album was a B/B+ as well. Not one of his greatest, but a lot of tracks i really enjoyed, and destroys the weed plate that was BP3. BBC, Heaven, Tom Ford, Somewhere in America, and even FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt are all really good to me.

Generous grader? Very possible, but that Mac Miller really impressed me. A Huge step up from all his other works, showing a newfound maturity.

Well that settles it, i'm never watching a Sadistik video ever again. Thanks for that.

He switched up, and subsequently got PAID. Not a chance in hell he ever goes back. Sad, really.
