@avclub-fe858281188f10005605ea7b1dd0bf7f:disqus Slippin' is the song that fully sold me on DMX. Ruff Ryders anthem is still amazing, but you could really feel his pain in Slippin' and his ability to communicate that so well had me in awe.

Between Jay Electronica & Papoose, Badu isn't exactly pleased with rappers recently, is she?
@TheSensitiveGhostOfSethPu:disqus While many view it as sacriledge, i DO consider OB4CL2 better than the first one. When it came out i listened to the album all the way through twice damn near every night for a month or two. I just could not get enough.
The Review pretty much says it all. Great album, either at the top of rap releases in 2013 so far, or damn close.
Agreed, their rap coverage has gotten very spotty, which is odd because i remember at the end of 2011/beginning of 2012 reviews of mixtapes from the likes of Freddie Gibbs popped up on here and i was shocked. Now we sometimes go months between a rap review of any kind. If they did a Gameological or even a "Loud" type…
I hope the kings stay. all the work they have done to still have the team ripped from them would be horrible.
@bfred Screw Loria, Lew Wolff and the A's are the closest any owner will ever get to pulling a "Major League", even down to potentially being foiled by the team actually winning.
Yeah "Anaheim Angels 2002 World Series" might be the worst movie ever created. Just the mention of that film haunts me to this day.
Crash Davis would look like Ivan Rodriguez if he filled in for stabby-mcstabberson.
Reading the review it sounded like Evan was saying Wayne became a novelty rapper with Carter 3, which I agree with. I don't think anyone in their right mind would call the dedication series novelty, but essentially everything afterward certainly qualifies.
Czarface is fantastic. The whole comic-book/super hero/pro wrestling vibe just makes the whole thing fun. And the guest appearances are prefect, too. Ghostface in particular was great.
*Raises Hand* This guy.
Two point blank, a motherfucker's sure to die!
Harry Fraud just released a mixtape titled "adrift" with all his recent production credits. Lot of new stuff on there too. Very much worth a listen
I'm not sure i would say MUCH better, because i love TLB, but yeah i think Speakerboxxx is the better record. Flip-Flop Rock, Unhappy, hell that instrumental intro is a thing of beauty.
I don't know if its possible, but if as a parent i do nothing but get my future child hooked on DJ Premier from a young age, i will have succeeded.
Oh dear god yes "Spottieottiedopaliscious". I know they don't actually rap over it, but god damn that might be favorite kast track of all-time. like @ColdGottoBe:disqus those horns!
I don't understand how anyone, baby or not, could not love ATLiens. my 2-year old sister already enjoys the title-track and wheelz of steel.
come on man, EVERYTHING needs more Large Professor
