It's really hard to show real tactics in movies/TV in an exciting way. It's dumb as fuck when the Spartans break formation in 300, but they had to do *something*. That's why I really like Red Cliff, even with the one-General-against-20-dudes bullshit.

Well, he approached him with caution, and his first words were actually about everybody thinking he was a god. I saw the joke as Tormund making it clear he's not that superstitious.

To be fair, Tormund makes way more dick jokes in the books.

He killed a bunch of Wildlings when they stormed the castle. I think he got owned by Tormund though, but I might be wrong.

Isn't it weird that we've seen Thorne kick more ass in battle than, say, Jaime? Though I don't remember if we really see Jaime's fighting skills in the book or if we just hear about it.

I thought so too at first, but I paused it on a frame that looks like a medium close up of Daario. But maybe it's a shot of him fighting another Dothraki.

"Here, take my coat."

Now I'm thinking that maybe if we had like one scene of Thorne seducing Olly to the Dark Side the whole thing would've worked better, but I guess they don't want to waste time with scenes without protagonists.

Was that Jorah fighting Daario in the end of the preview? Daario confirmed for Harpy?

Was that AFFC? God, it's been so many years…

I SAID COULD'VE NOT SHOULD'VE YOUR ANGLES ARE FINE.

If they made him a less one-note character after that (maybe if he helped Jon in some crucial way), it would be an insteresting dilemma for the audience, but no, lets make everybody hate him even more so his death can be a payoff.

Some people started hating him right away, but for me that moment was extremely ironic. The boy 100% thought he was helping, and I couldn't in a million years blame him for that.

That could've been an insteresting angle to explore in the review. In an ideal world, we should feel conflicted about Olly, but the show made us hate him and they know it.

Got it. It never felt jarring for me, but maybe english not being my first language had something to do with it. I could totally buy the Brothraki busting each other's balls, for instance.

Well, that particular scene I can get behind. It's everything around it that makes me want to kill myself.

Yeah, I don't get these complaints about supposed anachronisms. These are probably the oldest kinds of joke.

Olly's face was comically blue. I almost feel the director was trying to make a meme happen.

It opened with Sansa arriving at what I assume is Castle Black. I hope we don't get a "Oops, you just missed him"-type situation.

I liked those moments you mention. Maybe less time on Ramsay opening cages last episode?
