I can't put myself in the exact situation because mind control isn't a thing that exists. But if it did, I like to think I'd take it into consideration, because it's like someone ducktaping a gun to another person's hand and pulling the trigger remotely.

It is, but even having watched all the other Marvel movies, I couldn't see him going that far. I like this movie, but that whole confrontation didn't work for me. I don't even know what Stark was trying to do. Was he really going to kill Bucky? I know people do irrational things, but in this kind of movie you need

I think when you have to rationalize the whole climatic confrontation of a movie with "well, one of the characters wasn't thinking right, which was clearly set up in other movies", well… that's kinda horrible.

They sent Jaime to Dorne because they didn't know if they were going back to the Riverlands. He had his whole "I'm over Cersei now" arc, but they backtracked on that and now I guess he's going to the Riverlands anyway.

I would expect that person to feel betrayed and angry, probably. That's a long step from "murderous", though. Anyway, I knew that twist was coming, and it felt like a cheap way of forcing a final round of punching. They wanted us to feel conflicted, but I tend to side with the guy not acting like a maniac.

For a guy who's in favor of less destruction, Tony is pretty reckless in this movie.

So, Iron Man just wants to kill Bucky in the end because Bucky killed his mommy? And he doesn't care Bucky was mind controlled at the time? And everybody's just going to ignore the villain standing right there?

Still, what was she supposed to do?

It's going to be Yara, maybe with Theon in tow.

Simpsons quote.

I DRINK YOUR SANDSNAKES

I find his dumbness hilarious sometimes.

Unlike the Sandsnakes, I can believe Yara is a dangerous person who would thrive in this violent world. She always looks like she means business.

They left out the Iron Islands because they had hopes the show would last only seven seasons. So they cut out the Ironborn and gave Daario a line about getting ships offscreen. Then HBO says they have to make at least 8 seasons, they backtrack, burn Dany's ships, reintroduce the Ironborn. Not as bad as what happened

Exactly, it wasn't just swords clashing, there were a lot of creative and surprising moments in that sequence. Which makes some others scenes even more frustrating, because if the showrunners ARE capable of creating these kinds of moments, why aren't they doing it more often?

I've always been curious about the girl who was Daenerys in the unaired pilot. Maybe she'd be worse, and I don't think Clarke is terrible, but I don't have that curiosity with any other part.

And with the castle far enough from the shore, siege engines would be rendered useless. Pretty sweet position, until you run out of provisions.

It's also one of the few parts of this season they have a book to adapt from, which makes it comforting.

The angle I think is Davos knows Jon Snow is the only one who can unite everybody to fight the White Walkers. He's been watching Jon, he knows what people south of the wall think of the wildlings (which I guess are necessary)… It makes sense if you squint, but it felt weird and out of character in the show somehow.

Speaking of Ollie, someone please kill Ollie.
