Definitely seems not to be the majority opinion around here, but I thought that episode was pretty damn good. I thought the writing was solid, the jokes/one-liners were really character-driven, and for christ's sake it was refreshing to see an episode about something other than Leslie running into some government vs.

Upon seeing it, I immediately said to my friends "Does anyone remember Cousin Skeeter from Nickelodeon?". Alas, they did not. What an interesting, mildly racist show.

It's just kind of in stasis right now, although I'd argue that the two preceding seasons were just so great that it was tough to follow. After a 3rd season with the harvest festival, and a 4th season with the campaign, the 5th season formula of "Leslie wants to promote new progressive idea, has trouble, wins in the

Woah, I thought this was noticeably more awful than most anything this season. I really wish I could give it an F minus.

I might be the only one who got an absolutely huge kick out of Adam Devine. I thought he was absolutely hilarious, and just the antithesis of what we've come to expect from Jeff.

If I had to pick one singular word about why this episode just was "meh", I'd use "busy". I've gotten this feeling in all of the episodes so far this season, not that the first two were as "meh" as the past two. This one was just kinda….there.

To Call Me Carlos The Dwarf, re: "He won't lie about stuff that matters to relationship".

Definitely not an A episode, as the Barney/Robin plot was patently absurd and terrible. This episode was entirely filler. I was glad that Barney actually did address that his whole plot to get Robin was pretty much him being a horrible human being, but the fact that she was okay with it never struck me as something

Oh my goodness, I was LITERALLY *chris* screaming at the TV for Ron to just absolutely destroy Councilman Jamm. I wanted him to curb stomp that mother fucker for messing up that wedding. Although he did have that great line about being a "Prime" member. I also could not get enough of Tom's constant referencing of his

Yeah, I don't think there was anything in this episode that screamed worst episode of Community ever. I thought it was very busy, sure, but I can name quite a few episodes which I think were much worse, and treated the relationships of the characters much worse. The episode was just kind of……there, but not C- bad.

Yeaup, that was a really bad episode, save for The Departed joke. It was just so stale, and hardly any laughs. The Robin/Lily thing, even with the Tyson reveal, was just hammered into the ground and the jokes weren't falling. Also, you could just tell the episode was filler. Even more than the semi-steady girlfriends,

The two albums that immediately come to mind:

Yeaup, that was my bad!

My bad Todd, I went to go check on it and saw the composite A- score so that's why I thought the mistake. You are still one of my favorite people ever, and you should immediately combine all your Soprano's reviews into a book and sell that shit. I think those reviews are the best thing to come out of AVClub, like,

I fail to see how late season 3 episodes were getting what seemed like all A range grades, yet this gets a B. For instance, the video game episode getting an A- was pretty laughable. I can't be the only one who noticed the pretty steep decline in quality of last season. I thought the dialogue was a bit by the books,

[woah, this is an old thread. Never mind]

Why this episode deserves the B+, maybe even higher? It made me actually feel sad for Lily. I usually wish hell on Earth upon her horrible character, but damn, that actually had me sympathizing. Sad shit, and the scene with Ted was very good. I was worried once again they would drag Ted/Robin out even more, but glad

I don't know. I'm pretty sure they were fully aware and planned jokes that far in advance. Prime example for me:

Greatly enjoyed the book, even though I haven't seen some of the shows. It definitely has inspired me to watch Deadwood and re-watch Lost. I've seen almost all the other shows mentioned.
