Simpsons definitely got a bit outlandish in Season 8, but they just did it super well. Episodes like Scorpio, Grimes, Pretzel Wagon were kind of outrageous. Still awesome and definitley one of my favorite seasons (probably behind 7), but outrageous.

That's what I was thinking this entire episode

So, if we know anything about Matt and Trey, the whole cum gag was entirely so they could show Tom Brady drinking a cup of semen.

I would argue that we've seen Robin in a helicopter before with her father. Remember he pushes her out of one and she has to survive in the wilderness for a couple days when she was a teenager or whatever? I wouldn't be surprised if she knew how to somewhat fly one, because of her father, but I agree that it is pretty…
I love Paul's Boutique, and it's definitely the Beastie's best album in my opinion, but I don't get all the shit Licensed to Ill is getting here in these comments. That album was LEGENDARY. I'm a younger 20s guy at an office with 30-40 year olds, and almost everyone here will respond with "Licensed to Ill was one of…
With you 100%. This was the funniest episode of the season for me. It was so fucking sharp. The opening 1/3rd was some of the best writing they've done. The table scene was electric.
What exactly are "real stakes"? Because it seems your description could apply to most comedies on the air. Family Guy, even though it sucks, usually has "stakes" in the episode where if Peter doesn't do something, something will happen. In this episode of Community, Annie/the group was not going to get their A that…
"I laughed a lot, but I’m not sure what it was trying to say."
I appreciate the "non-union" Mexican equivalent joke……Senor Spielbergo
It's very odd that as South Park has gotten older, the times I agree with the review have started to diverge. Must be at this point, people want different things from SP.
I really really really loved this episode, and I just felt really "happy" when I finished watching it, which is honestly something I haven't said since season 1. I think it really speaks to the story they are telling of Kenny Powers. Season 1 was likable, but misguided, Kenny, Season 2 + beginning of Season 3 were…
Once again, I'm gonna have to come out of the woodwork, dodge bricks, and say this episode doesn't even nearly deserve to get an A, but not really because of any poor acting, dialogue etc. I just think these two episodes did an injustice to Troy and Abed.
I think this was one of the best episodes they've done, and I thought this one was superior to the first two by a wide margin. Goodman definitely kicked ass, and his "insecure" gags were hilarious.
This is something sad I noticed, and speaks to #1. The Quality of Bob's Burgers and #2. The awfulness of the Simpsons this week
Am I the only one who thought this episode was B/B+ material at best? I thought there were some real stale moments dialogue/acting wise….
He did mention during the hurricane that people could go to his house. It's not too crazy to think that he does fix it up pretty often already, I suppose. He seems to have no trouble making any money.
It could perhaps be that she seems to be the only character with no comedic timing whatsoever. She just can't play "funny" like Marshall, Barney, Robin, and to an extent, even Ted. She has no comedic delivery. Therefore, maybe they just relegate her to pushing plot points?
