im 26. i know the exact moment i became disinterested in new music too.

i think im just getting old. i no longer really have the desire to find new artists.

the suburbs and reflektor are my favorite two albums. basically you got to be able to handle absolute sincerity, since they always go for big ole teenage emotions. they are, however, talented enough songwriters to handle that sort of subject matter.

i've completely forgotten about that album which goes to show you its staying power. that couch slut album wasn't that great either. really only effective for blocking out your coworker trying to introduce the new guy to you.

listen to any other album from them first. please. do this for me.

plus they're on subpop and that label is dead to me even though i have a subpop bumper sticker on my car.

downtown boys are the band i'm most ashamed to admit i don't like. i want to say their music is secondary to their politics, but man, i just find them unlistenable.
