As much as I like Nolan's Batman trilogy, I've always been more of a fan of his work outside that trilogy. You're right! There was a big of a fuss when he updated his resume to see he played Tad Strange. Fans thought he was an omnipotent presence…turns out he's a gag character.

I don't know how much of it was at the writers' mercy but it's clear that Melissa McCarthy has pretty much lost the goodwill she had after Bridesmaids. She seems to have been making one bad decision after another these last few years.
