With the whole May thing, I began to wonder if I'd skipped an episode where they'd introduced her. I don't know who the actress is, but her accent is jumping around a bit… 80% of the time it's plummy RP, then it dips into Estuary or East End for a word or two.

Half the actors this season have stilted line readings. I wish they'd taken a extra filming hour or two per episode to smooth out these imperfections because they're a bit jarring.

I thought the AV Club season-overview review nailed it on the love-interest character… but the rest was great and a different enough perspective to feel fresh.

I think this is the only article in the world to use both a semicolon and the term 'not for nothing.'

Wait… that sounds a lot like Putin's whole setup.

It has a name, and that name is Stretch Armstrong.

Some things are IN the Trump era, and some things are OF the Trump era.

She's best in low-affect roles, like early Keanu Reeves. When you see her in stuff where she has to go BIG she's pretty bad, so I think she's playing to her strengths here.

Look, I'm not much for words or poetry or anything, but maybe this interpretive dance and this little ditty will help you know how I really feel about you…

She's Stan's ticket out of the doghouse. If anything, he's relieved that she's going along with it and she's not throwing up any roadblocks. He doesn't want to spook her with threats or strongarming tactics, so he's keeping things nice.

He's looking for authenticity. Having to lie to people all the time while they treated him authentically created an insane level of dissonance that he just wasn't dealing with.

One, Henry needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine.
Two, whenever Henry's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Henry?"

Is there a Kimmel demographic? He seems like a guy who became famous through some kind of arcane back-channel.

We're not supposed to know; the show is playing off the ambiguity. Is it Big Food or Big Govt coming for the Burovs?
