I usually go by the opinions of people whose taste I respect. People I don't respect, their taste doesn't really influence me one way or the other, so I wouldn't expect to dislike something for that reason.

Should he have said that? Of course not. Was he thinking it? I wouldn't be surprised.

"…the network turned it down when they originally pitched the episode as being about a dog, but when they changed it to a cat, it was fine."

Final grade count for the season*:

Wait, the Democrats nominated Katherine Heigl?

I imagine his discussion with his wife and daughters would be, "I chuckled along with this shitheel because that's my job. It's how I pay for all this stuff. It's gross and it really sucks sometimes, but that's how it is and I'm not talented enough to do something more respectable. I hope you're OK with that."

"In a statement, Leto said that he’s 'a longtime Fandor subscriber'…"

And as has probably been pointed out already, her character didn't go "out of town on vacation and never returned" as stated in the article, Sandra Gould took over the role.

I'd be OK with that if it were Rex, King and Spot.

If he was still alive, I'd back the Frank Williams/Barry Howowitz ticket.

“More poise, less noise” is a pretty good slogan for a joke candidacy, but not as good as Pat Paulsen's "We've upped our standards, so up yours".

There's no Metacritic score because no one has seen it. I can't think of another major TV show that was completely hidden from critics.

"So, Mr. S., you write online Jeopardy! recaps…isn't that a tremendous waste of time and effort?"

The lack of serial arcs is the reason I would actually watch it if it was even half as good as Law & Order.

Fox should have put The Mick Sundays at 8:30, hopefully let it build an audience there, they try it elsewhere for season three. Brooklyn Nine-Nine should have gotten a shortened final season as spackle for The Mick and/or Last Man on Earth.

I don't know for sure, but I'd be surprised if there was a time-in-job requirement, although they might take that into consideration in their final selections.

NBC delaying the renewal of Chicago Justice while bringing back two painfully low-rated sitcoms might be the oddest development of this renewal/cancellation season.

"Tuesday 9 PM Blackish/THE MAYOR vs. vs. Superstore/The Good Place vs. The Mick/Brooklyn Nine-Nine"

I did. Just sounded quintessentially CBS to me, although I wasn't expecting Sundays at 8.

Thanks for all the work you put into this every season, Franko!
