Jeopardy! recap for Fri., May 19 - The second game of the two-day final of the Teachers Tournament was about as tight as can be, with David entering FJ at $18,200 vs. $17,800 for Nan and $17,200 for Mary. Since David also was ahead at the end of the previous game, he was in a position to lock down the championship…
They're back on Buzzr!
Apparently.
He does fit that description, and it's The Apprentice that probably fed his ego to the point that he actually thought he could run and win, as well as sold him to the public as a savvy, competent manager. I'm convinced that without that show, none of this would be happening with Trump.
Just using him as an example of the type of well-loved celebrity who would have instant credibility (earned or not).
I consider Trump in this category in that he's a major pop culture figure (hit TV show, very well-known) and non-politician that has a name that would really get people's attention. Politics would seem like a step down for him given the wealthy image he's cultivated, as opposed to a C-lister of the…
He did put a line in one of his movies that "most critics are cynical assholes", so at least at one time it seemed to get under his skin.
Because in the GOP mindset, if you don't support them, you don't count. And if you protest against them, you must be paid to do it. And if you vote against them, it was fraudulent.

That's why I've always assumed that Fox News is the best place to advertise, because that audience will fall for anything.
"Schneider is not wrong on this issue."
I mean a really, really famous/wealthy one with a big career.
Rob Schneider, you've got a long way to go to be the next Chuck Woolery.
The thing is, these right-wing entertainers actually run for high office.
So you can see why ABC didn't want this "too young" spinoff on the main network, since "A Different World" was such a failure, only running for six years and 145 episodes.
ABC: between 15 and 60 years behind the times.
ABC didn't make the show with the star of the NBC show nobody watched, they made the show with the annoying supporting character from the NBC show nobody watched.
I must admit, seeing To Tell the Truth on the 2017-18 fall primetime schedule grid gave me an odd feeling. For a split-second I almost expected to see Leave It To Beaver and The Rifleman on there as well.
