Has anyone read Luther Arkwright, by Bryan Talbot? The reason I overly defend the kind of shit in Century (and Alan's work in general) is because I want this type of narrative to continue to exist in comics, as it is probably the most suitable medium.

But what if you get the references? I do. I don't find the Easter Egging through Nevins' material any more burdensome than DFW'a annotations or even the From Hell appendices. What are we even reading Alan Moore for, if not a dazzling latticework of intertextuality and meta-layering?
