After this the story forks at Speaker/Shadow and neither one would make a good movie sequel. Speaker is a dead end and the post-war global political intrigue plot would make a terrible and tedious movie. It made for some pretty tedious damn books.

But… they obviously already have the server horsepower to deliver the site itself and if you're pulling (text) content from a SQL database, it's going to handle much of that burden. I speak with the authority of a hobbyist with tens of visitors under my belt.

I ran a webserver at my house once, mostly for fun but also so I could access my MP3 collection via flash enabled webrowser wherever I was. Writing a commenting system in PHP was painfully easy, assuming you didn't include the fancy features that no one seems to want anyway (dynamic post placement, up/downvotes)
