I'm going to shame-facedly admit that I have never known anything about this movie other than its title. I have always assumed it was a cold-war-era thriller about submarines. I based that on nothing and never bothered to find out. I am actually shocked because my explanation to myself had become almost factual to the

Yeah, Carrie Fisher was, what? Eighteen or nineteen when they were filming that? (see also, @avclub-4a51fda79bbd54b4e7327dd6559b6c4d:disqus 's post above).

@avclub-b4238f7793ec8c1a632f14f2a1766c68:disqus  —  I've been laughing and laughing at the phrase: " he has slightly retarded. " I might have to start using that, even if it was a type-o.

I don't know that I ever found the movie, on the whole, incredibly funny, and when I first saw it, it's not like I knew who anyone in it was, but I always found it very watchable. I guess it's just the "so much shit happens" quality that hooked me as a kid, and Spencer Tracey is so good that, even back when I was like

If your trip to Chuck E. Cheeses was anything like my first/last trip there, you'll spraying liquid from every sphincter soon.

I don't think it's funny at all, you monster.

If he gets light sabers and we don't… man… that would be the greatest injustice of all.

"Pretty Mary Sunshi…. aaaacckkkkccchhhhh!!!!"

THEY MUST!

And Flipper.

He did this thing once where he went all cross-eyed and made a silly face.

If you watch the "Chimpokomon" episode of south park (season 2 or 3, I think), that pretty much explains it.

Wait, I thought Pikachu was a she. I do like using s/h/it in Super Smash Bros Brawl, though. That "call lightning" -type move is fun. At first I was sort of annoyed that I had to use Pikachu in the side-scroller part, but then I realized I was kicking a lot of ass.

I was avoiding Gungam Style or whatever (and kind of Harlem Shake) because I refuse to seek out and watch an internet video of someone singing and dancing stupidly on purpose. Then he appeared in a pistachio commercial and I saw it. And it was exactly what I thought it would be— he was doing a stupid dance in a suit.

Too many people told me I'd like Big Bang THeory and give me this wide-eyed "OMG you neeed to watch it" when I've told them I haven't seen it for me to even want to engage it. I've seen clips and it's not funny.

@avclub-cf4b19e32ce29fef04468ac9d2a6787d:disqus  I don't think of Borderlands as anything but a single player, first person shooter. I played it with a friend on the PS3 and, yeah, it's pretty fun that way, but I also played a game in parallel on my PC and it was almost as fun, or at least fun in a different way.

RTSes are either too fast or too slow. Turn based works because if I get distracted, the game waits for me. RTS games are the bane of people with ADD, I imagine. Maybe if I got into one, it could hold my attention, but the mechanics of it are fast enough that you have to pay attention, but so slow that it's hard to

That never struck me as stunt casting or anything, either. It took me a second to remember who he was in the film because it seemed fairly natural.

I tried to watch the first one two or three times and fell asleep within the first 15 minutes every time. I don't think it's worth the effort any more. I remember something about Depp standing in the crows nest as the ship sinks, but that might be from the trailer.

I like the theme to Shock Treatment. I've never seen it, but I have the song on a CD.. .and "Denton," which is also very catchy. Too bad to hear that the show is not good.
