I was thinking that this lineup has more shows I'm interested in than any other network. I'm already watching the two Diaries shows (though I'm way behind on Carrie, need to catch up over the summer), I'm definitely watching The Originals, and will probably check out The Tomorrow People, though who knows if I'll stick

Julie Plec is behind it so I'm hoping it will also feature an appropriate amount of backstabbing and neck snapping.

I had forgotten about that. It still could work, since the CW seems to have this weird small audience that doesn't watch shows on other channels (e.g. Vampire Diaries is it's biggest hit and it goes up against The Big Bang Theory every week). They probably should have put Supernatural in that slot instead though.

Oooh yeah I completely forgot that show is going up against SHIELD. Maybe the CW didn't realize it when they scheduled it there? Honestly they should put Supernatural in that slot instead: it already has a devoted fanbase, and really can't possibly last much more than another two years.

This actually seems like a surprisingly competent lineup for the CW. Pairing The Originals with Supernatural is probably smart: much like Angel, the spinoff might be able to attract a more male audience that would never even consider watching the original show, and the Vampire Diaries fans tuning in might stick around

Can we just get Sarah Michelle Gellar back on Ringer? I swear I'm the only person that misses that show. It was stupid, but in a fun and soapy way, and Gellar and Ioan Gruffud had really excellent chemistry. Really I just like having her on tv and would prefer if she appeared in something that doesn't have Robin

I don't know why, but I just get this feeling it's gonna get a C+… don't let us down Dowd!

Sorry but that movie was absolutely terrible. The characters were awkward and spiteful to the point that it was actually unrealistic, and Kidman's performance was just a collection of irritating tics. And Jack Black just seemed confused and lost the whole movie, like he wasn't sure how he got there. It was little more

I'm kind of afraid to watch the rest now… I know it's not very good but it's weirdly enjoyable for some reason.

@avclub-e7b6074b6404e43ad16b514806050428:disqus Thank you! I was a bit concerned I'd come off as condescending, and honestly I give out advice that's much better than how I act in my actual life. Definitely not a pity party either: I can certainly relate. I'm not overweight but am almost cripplingly shy and socially

I remember writing it off after watching only the pilot, which I thought was terrible and boring. I'm considering just skipping to the Amy Acker episodes and seeing if those catch my interest.

I don't think they'd get rid of her, though she'd probably be reduced to a recurring role. Which wouldn't necessarily be disastrous: I thought she was great of course, but it seemed a bit unnecessary, or even unrealistic for her to show up every single episode.

It's interesting how characters discovering the show's premise can really make show take off. The same happened with The Vampire Diaries, which was a pretty dull teen soap for the first few episodes, until the main character Elena found out the creepy guy hitting on her was a vampire, at which point the show really

I didn't realize that the Robin Williams show was also the SMG vehicle. That's some bizarre father/daughter casting if there ever was one. Hopefully it could be a decent sitcom? I mean How I Met Your Mother got on the channel somehow…

Oh yeah, I actually watched that show, the creatively titled "Kidnapped". It was pretty good, if only for the tremendous cast: it also had Jeremy Sisto, Timothy Hutton, and Linus Roache, with recurring guest appearances from Madchen Amick, David Patrick Kelly, Amy Ryan, James Urbaniak, Giancarlo Esposito, and a young

We really do need a BearCity type tv show…. one that isn't terrible.

Honestly I think a lot of straight people feel that way as well, especially ones that are overweight or insecure about the bodies (which is virtually everyone, aside from gym bunnies). Plus if you don't live in a big city, they chances of encountering another gay guy, who's single, attracted to you, and confident

The worst thing about that movie is you can see how the same material could have made a much more successful version: the Sandman stuff is actually pretty good and you can see where the idea for the Venom storyline was coming from, it was just horribly executed. Even if Raimi had pulled that off though there really is

Edit: whoops got my facts wrong. Apparently Haigh is directing the pilot? I'll still watch this just because I'm kind of interested in the subject matter, being gay and all. Hopefully the description is just a buzz line and not an accurate synopsis.

There's no way gay men could make up the majority of any viewership, unless like all of the gays in the country were watching a fairly low rated show.
