Thanks for the reply! I don't get those notifications when someone tags me either, but I saw you on here and thought you might see the post. It sounds like you feel pretty much the same way about Hannibal as I did The Americans: interesting and very well executed, but oddly uncompelling. I actually really like Fuller

Actually Tye Sheridan, who played Ellis, was indeed the one who was in Tree of Life.

Wow, this was the first time I had any clue that there were two more Tom Sawyer books written after Huckleberry Finn. Weird.

I'm not sure Lynch was really the showrunner though (if that position even existed back then). Plus he wasn't fired, he just got fed up/bored with the show, as he was bound to do.

He's going to look very stupid if it ends up happening…

Well they do change the premise and much of the cast every season. I've been down with it since the pilot actually but season 2 was much, much better than the first.

Sadly it was only offbrand, weirdly angry Vanderwerff snark, not classic O'Neal flavor snark.

Of course that would mean Abed made up Jeff's dream in the final episode within the dreamatorium, which would be pretty mindblowing.

I don't understand your Mark Frost comment, I think he helped balance out Lynch's weirdness with the more soap operatic elements, which was what made the first season so great. He wasn't credited during the episodes when the show went downhill any more than Lynch: that was mostly due to Bob Engels and Harley Peyton.

There's also Parenthood which is critically acclaimed and actually pretty popular now.

Huh? Happy Town was just straight up bad and not fun at all. Then again I couldn't really stomach The Cape either, despite it basically being The Tick played straight.

Yeah I kind of feel like there's no way they can, whatever they do is going to be disappointing. I'm just not really that into the cast or premise of next season so far, though I'm hoping they'll prove me wrong. I'm sure it'll still be a blast to watch and funny as hell whichever way it goes though.

That episode is on iTunes you know… and less legal places.

I do not get the Toy Story 3 love… I guess I can I see why someone would consider it to be better than mediocre, but the universal love absolutely baffles me. Then again the second one nearly turned me off of Pixar forever and everyone seems to love that one as well so maybe I'm just not getting something. Ratatouille

I really agree, I don't know what it is about the show that makes it feel like such a slog. I can't come up with as much to criticize about it as most shows, and there have been some really memorable scenes and situations, but I'm just never that into it, and often take over a week to catch up (I only watched the

Apparently no one on network tv thinks those shows will work on a network for some mysterious reason.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot that was a thing. Maybe put the spin off on at 9, then put Agents of Shield on at 10? They could build up a powerhouse ratings night that way. Put Revenge back on Wednesdays at 10 and stick Nashville or Red Widow on Tuesdays (whichever one ends up surviving).

You should catch up on Hannibal!!!! I'm ready to say that it's the best new show of the whole 2012-13 season, including The Americans. It's really crafted with an attention to detail and complex story structure that is really lacking on network television right now. If it lasts another two years somehow and maintains

I think Tuesday or Sunday would be a good bet. It would pair decently with Once Upon a Time (though I hate that show) and maybe Revenge would be more successful back in it's old slot on Wednesdays. A more family friendly oriented Sunday night might help ABC pull in some decent competition against the adult cable

It seems like reality shows are slowly disappearing from the networks migrating to cable, though competition shows will probably be a staple for quite a while to come… they're kind of the game shows of this era.
