Hm somehow I forgot there were songs in that one… the show's big musical moment was obviously the season one finale. I may have to rewatch those first two series someday.

I don't recall there being any original songs on that show, so I doubt it.
C'mon guys that was obviously already covered.
I never got how this book is remotely Austen-esque, it's much more like Dickens crossed with War and Peace plus magic and shit. It's not nearly as good as that sounds admittedly, but it was a pretty entertaining read.
I cannot imagine The Wanderer getting moved up, that would completely kill the album's momentum. Much like Pop, I love the first half of Zooropa, but the second half of the album really drags it down for me. "The Wanderer" is the only song I like on the second half, and on Pop "Gone" and especially "Please" (maybe my…
I'm pretty sure he's been in pretty much every Breaking Bad episode from season 3 onwards.
I love Breaking Bad but I don't think I really want this to happen. Saul is a good supporting character that works best in small doses, and I can't imagine him working as a main character, especially given how that other Vince Gilligan show that spun off beloved comic relief characters went down.
@avclub-79557cb93066f4470b8cee6e9110f757:disqus Disagree, a part of me still kind of thinks Eccleston was the best Doctor (of the five I've seen anyway). I thought he was the only one to really pull off his catchphrase, he really brought out the emotion in the character and how old he was, and he had an amazing…
I didn't realize that, for some reason I was under the impression that a lot of their newer shows were filmed a while before airing. I think I heard one of their shows (maybe Lights Out?) was in the can before it aired so I assumed that was standard for most 13 episode cable seasons. I'm not sure why they're burning…

Given that it's a medical drama, one of the few tv genres I really have no interest in and refuse to watch, I probably won't check it…
Has any AV Club show ever received such consistently bad grades? Even Heroes got a surprising number of Bs.
Do you remember the source or the guy's name @RedScarab:disqus ? That sounds fascinating.
I suspect this was because 1. Fox was able to pay him a lot more than he would get on cable, and 2. because the show has shorter seasons so he can still spend time with his family or whatever. I'm pretty sure the quality of the scripts had nothing to do with it.
I really don't understand NBC. Hire Bryan Fuller to develop TWO shows for you, and then apparently run both of them into the ground intentionally. Hannibal should have been a big, heavily advertised event premiere similar to the marketing we saw for The Following, but instead they were going to push it summer, and…
Yeah I'm not a huge Marsters fan: he worked as Spike when the writing was really strong for the character, but was completely insufferable when it wasn't. Also, nothing else I've seen him in has been impressive at all… I can't say I have any real desire to see him in any future Whedon projects.
That does sound good… until you realized that it's 20 percent down from the Awake premiere and that the ratings will surely take a major nosedive in the next couple of weeks. If it somehow retains those pilot numbers it'll definitely get picked up, but I really doubt it's going to do that.
It's pretty weird that they aren't trying another Hulk movie, though I guess that'll come along in Phase 3. I guess they're wary since both his movies were pretty lame and ended up kind of being retconned (or at least recast). I suppose Phase 2 is already ambitious enough as it is with 6 more movies in 3 years and a…
Now I'm going to be reeeally depressed when Hannibal inevitably gets canceled…. all these serial killer shows and the only one that is canceled is the one that isn't a complete piece of shit and attempts to approach the subject matter with some level of gravity. I really hope that Netflix ends up picking it up or…
I can see that: the shows I get most excited about these days are The Vampire Diaries, American Horror Story and Doctor Who… while I think those are all very good shows (particularly the first two) they aren't exactly in the top tier of the shows on the air, and I love the campy quality of all three, while also…
