Eh I kind of liked it. Dobrev's delivery got across how even the most mundane objects can bring up painful memories of someone who just died. And I think Microsoft is just happy to be name dropped at all.

Yeah, Intro to Film is what sold me on this show, and pretty much pulled off everything I love about the show, though it wasn't the funniest episode. Intro to Stats is when it got really consistently excellent and hilarious though.
I just can't agree… Lost's mysteries were way more interesting than Carnivale's and the writers did a much better job of coming up with entertaining storylines and well developed characters along with it's mythology: Carnivale just seemed to expect us to stick with it to find out what was going on while it laboriously…
You guys really don't read these articles at all do you?
That would be pretty amazing… really I have to hope someone makes something like that someday. I would hang out somewhere like that all the time (though hopefully it would be less creepy in real life than on this show).
Honestly I think a lot of the supporting (i.e. non regular) actors on Veronica Mars just weren't very good. Then again I thought Krysten Ritter sucked on that show and then she ended up being amazing on Breaking Bad so who knows…
Was Beauty and the Beast really fascinating Todd? I don't think this system is very consistent.
That was so unrealistic… yet I really wish such a thing existed. I think Lost would have been the most likely show in existence to potentially spark such a phenomenon.
Just watched and I'm with you. The acting is pretty bad for the most part but the premise is actually pretty interesting and fairly well executed. The expository dialogue is kind of lame, but nowhere near Following levels of bad. The show seems to have a lot more personality than most CW (or midseason) shows, and…
Man I'm trying to resist this show because I have way too much tv on my plate anyway and want to get back to The Sopranos and BSG, and because I really don't need to watch ANOTHER crappy show in addition to The Following and Smash but comments like this are making it very difficult. I'll have to tune into the pilot to…
If anyone is still curious, Todd gave this episode the same grade that I did: a B. It seems that we are in agreement for once.
I really don't get why the characters on this show are so boring and flat, since characterization has really been one of Williamson's strong suits. He really seemed to be trying to force a hit with this one, it feels so overproduced and bland. Sadly it seems to have worked…
Yeah that's a good point and one I considered, though ultimately it didn't bother me that much. The setup was pretty hacky and sitcommish though, and I think the show is struggling to set up it's premises in believable ways lately, another reason this season feels a bit forced and unnatural compared to last year.
Twin Peaks actually didn't have episode titles fyi. You see titles listed sometimes, but those are translations of titles that were added for German video releases for some reason, they're completely unofficial (and lame). On all the US releases they're just listed as "Episode 1", "Episode 2", etc.
Indeed, this episode definitely needed at least another ten to fifteen minutes to accomplish everything it was going for. It felt to me like it was pitched as two episodes, and then they were combined because there were some other ideas they wanted to do as well and they needed the character arcs to move forward a…
Isn't that what a lot of people are doing now? I mean I enjoy the show but the praise for it is way out of hand. It's a pretty good and enjoyable show, but the writing and acting are very uneven and the tone is all over the place. It has high highs but extremely irritating lows. I don't think it's nearly as…
It's the best show since The Newsroom!
The Smallville role was in 2001, and definitely pre-Catch Me If You Can, which was released in 2002 (her appearance on Buffy was a little earlier). I really have no idea why she didn't break out with that movie though, she was one of the best things about it. After seeing Enchanted I was pretty amazed to discover it…
I fail to see how that is connected to this inventory in any way…
Some people just look older than they are (balding helps with this). There's a guy I worked with that I assumed was at least forty (and could probably pass for over 45), but apparently he's only thirty years old.
