Not to mention I Am Number Four, The Hunger Games, and Beautiful Creatures.

Wait, we hate Revenge season 2 now? I think it's settled into a nice groove: it started off a bit strangely, but since episode four I've been enjoying it at least as much as I ever enjoyed the first season (and every episode this year has been better than the last six of last season).

There's a season 9 two parter that follows this up (and is pretty terrible) but they didn't really follow it up properly, probably because fans weren't all that excited about it. I can't say I much like Biogenesis myself so I'm not too upset about it.

Yeah that one's been totally overdone as an "alternative to Twilight" or whatever since it's also a kind of romance between teens.

Yeah Fringe pulls so many universe altering twists that it's kind of hard to wrap your head around, and it will pull things from several seasons ago out of nowhere. Of course X-files did that too, but the writers didn't even seem to be able to follow the story threads, much less expect the readers to, so the mythology

@avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus I think the real problem is that they blew through at least three episodes worth of plot in the pilot, and then dragged things to a halt for wheel spinning episodic storylines. It seemed like they were trying to structure it like Battlestar Galactica, but failed to come

I totally agree: I was excited after the pilot but my interest decreased immensely with each passing episode and by episode four I just didn't care at all anymore. The plot was weirdly over complicated while the themes and concepts were simplistic and silly. The cast was strong but the character development was pretty

@Ike1:disqus You're right, as much as I like O'Quinn he and the writers needed to go more over the top with his character. I mean I think he's still very good but when much of the cast is so bland his character needs to pop more. Lately it's getting way too easy to forget the whole Satan thing: he just seems like a

ABC has problems with the 10pm time slot as well though. Other than Sunday nights it seems like 9 o'clock is the only time where anything can be relied on to get ratings lately, especially on ABC.

Yeah that was actually a fairly exciting moment despite the horrible effects. Hopefully the follow up doesn't disappoint, though I have a feeling it will.
