I was thinking about how good Bunheads could be if it came back and one of the things I would look forward to is Sasha wigging out when she finds out Ginny had sex before her (because she needs to be in control and the most advanced at everything).

I always felt so sorry for her, she didn't really know how to show proper affection to Lorelai but for me my favourite GG scenes are when Emily and Lorelai are getting on; you can often feel them both wanting to vocalise the fact they love each other and failing miserably.
The scene where Emily tells Lorelai to wear a tiara for her wedding because her head is too big for a veil then finishes it off with "I wore a tiara" with a soft smile. It breaks my heart every time. It's two women who are completely unable to vocalise how much they actually love each other because they are so similar…
That high five was my highlight of the episode. That and "mother has stopped keeping sugar in the house so I made it with Cumin, I suppose I'm sorry for two things". She has perfect timing.
Bailey Buntain has owned the second half of the season. She is the one Bun head who has been totally successful with all tones, (although you can argue they only gave Mel one tone)
I kinda feel Cozette won't like Frankie for that. Her defining character trait is being nice.
I completely agrees with you re: Rory and Lane, the friendship was fun but it never felt relaxed or deep. One of the things I dig about Bunheads is how realistic the female friendships are, in a lot of tv they are vessels to further relationships. The scene in the first episode of the second run where all the girls…
I don't mind her, the "I'm one, I'm three, I'm four, I'm confused" thing worked perfectly but the gazelle bit just seemed off.
My issue with Dez is that Mel has been nothing but snarky to him and not in a (I like you so I'll punch you way) and then suddenly she likes him? I know teenagers are fickle but of all the girls she strikes me as the least likely to switch opinions because a boy looked at her.
I feel liking Dez would be out of character for Mel, she has shown nothing but disdain for him in every single scene he has been in.
Also where was the "so we need to talk about me" line going? Was it going to be about Dez or something else? Way to leave us hanging on the ,most mysterious, least storylined Bunhead!
why haven't you watched Gilmore Girls?
let's throw in Teachers, Skins (generation 1 and 2, fuck off 3), Being Human (again original cast), the Hour and so much more!
it's depressing when an 18 year old has more in their biography up to the age of 10 than you do as a fully fledged adult. I can't even drive…
This is the most stereotypical teenage girl behaviour, I love Bunheads because the girls all look the right age (I know they are like 2 years older but none are 27) and act right, their dressing up when Godot first came back and Ginny's reaction to Cozette and to Mel after she found out is so 16 year old girl; it's so…
I think one of the things I enjoy most about Bunheads is that all of the relationships and emotional interactions between the cast seem rooted in reality. The scene where Mel asked if they'll come to see her at Derby and Ginny says no, then Mel pauses to ask if she wants a ride, it was so simple and sad; you can see…
I like that Dez seems mildly interested in Mel because she's there, not for any good reason, it's very teenage boy. But also their exchanges crack me up.
I thought she wanted to sign up but couldn't commit full time to a project in California when she lives in New Jersey.
I am enjoying Bailey Buntain more and more every episode. Even when she is given small things to do like her interactions with Aubrey she nails it.
I hope we get a bit more of the fight between Mel and Ginny next week, I think they are one of the most believable female friendships on tv.
Smiley Face is a fucking tour-de-force. Someone at my university newspaper gave it a 1 star review and I marched over there (I was next door at the radio station) and shouted at the editor. (Also I may or may not have been smiley faced during that incident).
