Cool Grim Reaper, this movie had.

I hated this era too - there was basically nothing I liked that was current. The pop-punk stuff never really got big in Europe, so for us the teen pop and nu-metal mingled in with trance anthems and UK garage; I pretty much hated it all. Some of my favourite bands (mostly from the Britpop era) made diminishing returns…
Another example of this is the second Urusei Yatsura movie, "Beautiful Dreamer", which was directed by Mamoru Oshii. It isn't exactly the same, as Oshii had a good deal of involvement in the series and also had directed the first movie. However, Oshii had more input overall in UY2, and brought a lot of his signature…
There has actually been a number of "people telling different accounts of Batman" stories over the years. As well as Batman #250, there was also a late Legends of the Dark Knight issue about people stuck in a lift telling contradictory stories, with differing depictions of Batman inspired by various eras.
I was a big Kim Possible fan too, I really got into it while I was recovering from surgery; I remember it was the Drakken/DNAmy episode which won me over. And Fillmore was great too, with a pretty bizarre and unique sense of humour (some EXTREMELY obscure and unlikely cultural references, as I recall). American Dragon…
Enjoyed this interview, though I'm a little disappointed you flew through Kim Possible so quickly. Bender may be his most famous role, but Dr Drakken is my favourite. He's probably my favourite incompetant bad guy ever, in a show that was full of hilarious incompetant bad guys.
Huge Downtown fan here too. My favourite is probably "The Con" or perhaps "Hotel Bar". Jen and Goat were my favourite characters, but oddly I had some time for Mecca as well. Guess I'm a hopeless romantic too….
I'd love to see more on Daria here - perhaps not TV Club Classic, but a 10 Episodes feature would do nicely.
Star Trek TNG episode "The Inner Light".
Peter Milligan and Duncan Fegredo's Enigma. Eight issues of pure genius. The fact that it's out of print is a crime and nothing short of it.
Big fan of "Hard Time" here, too. As Zack points out, it's a dark companion piece to TNG's "The Inner Light", and that seems to be acknowledged in the episode. The Argrathi woman is played by Margot Rose, who also played Eline in "TIL". And the scene where O'Brien is awoken by E'Char is similar to Picard's awakening…
I agree that "Chimera" is really, really bland - there isn't anything necessarily wrong with the story, it's just forgettable. Until I rewatched it a few weeks ago, it was one of the very few episodes I could literally remember NOTHING about, which really says something.
I was unsure how to feel about "Closure" when it first aired. The whole idea of the walk-ins felt silly and too "magical" for the X-Files (as opposed to the way it usually portrayed the paranormal). However, I also felt that Samantha's abduction had shrunk in significance in the face of all the unfolding conspiracy…
I love X-Cops as it is, but part of me wishes the monster actually DID turn out to be a werewolf, with some ambiguous footage of a transformation (to or back from a wolf) at some point in the episode.
I have good memories of watching lots of HA and Daria during an often wet and miserable Summer of 2000. It's been ages since I've watched a HA episode so I'll have to rectify that.
Although I think "Biogenesis"/"Sixth Extinction" are entertaining episodes, I'm not overly fond of the writers going for the Chariots of the Gods route, even if there had been some build-up beforehand. And Mulder's development in this and the next two episodes is really the wrong way to go; he should be an ordinary…

I remember reading an interview a good few years back in which Bruce Timm stated his outright dislike of the character. That probably accounts for so little Riddler in TNBA.

I really enjoyed those stories, but my personal favourite BA Riddler appearance is probably his first, in the initial Puckett/Parobeck run; that issue was also the debut of the ridiculous trio of Mastermind, the Perfesser and Mr Nice.
