Man, I can't tell you how many times my kids have said to me, "Y Tu Mama Tambien! Y Tu Mama Tambien! Y Tu Mama Tambien! How come we can't watch iiiit?" It was like, shut up about Y Tu Mama Tambien already, I don't care if all the cool kids have seen it! But finally Blockbuster found a way to make ALL of us happy.

I see no potential for confusion.

What can I say, I really took quickly to the series.

Start with with Language Log and an essay like this if you want to learn more about prescriptivism. Yes, "prescriptivist" has a pejorative weight sometimes, but it's far bigger than that; it's hardly "meaningless."

Roberts?

This is what fourteen-year-olds tell themselves to assure themselves that they can still go to the abstinence ball.

I'm actually imagining Bill O'Reilly pornography right now and wondering whether there are "falafels" or not.

That doesn't make me like it.

I don't like Megan's hair. Blerg. Blerg, I say.

I actually quite like her as an actress and wish she would stop being in naught but stupid crap these days.

Those glasses Kiefer's sporting — were these already the standard issue eye-wear for murderers/rapists/predators in film, or was Freeway actually one of the pioneers of this look?

I believe I'm speaking objectively when I say "yeesh."

I don't usually look at the Tolerability Indexes…Indices…whatever. But I read this one. And then I saw the number of reasonable discussions. "A thousand comments? By gum, that's rather a lot for such a feature. Whatever could the ruckus be?" Then I actually began perusing the threads.

To me, he's doing modern R&B with computers and decent lyrics, but who cares about lyrics in R&B.
I don't listen to Stevie Wonder, Mary J. or Toni, Tony, Tone for the "lyrical complexity".
