The show has done much, much cornier. I appreciate the restraint this time.

I agree that Futurama got increasingly more uneven from third season on to the point where the later seasons only had a couple good episodes each but every season bar the movie one had at least one classic in it to keep me interested.

Blackadder has one of the best series endings too

Ah, a white male chimes in.

Liking this overrated superhero trash isn't pretentious at all. I am.

I'm impressed at your dedication at being 100% wrong about everything.

Also it's a movie that features both Batman and Superman.

Because your rich friends aren't just giving you free money, they want a return on their investment. Kickstarter is free money from people who simply feel strongly enough about your project that they want to see it made.

It's a bit unfair to characterize Carolla as merely "sexist". He's also racist.

But the main, legitimate criticism over celebrities using Kickstarter is the same for both Braff and Lee though: that they are using Kickstarter for free money despite having the connections and means to raise it themselves. A criticism that proves entirely accurate as Lee is effectively getting his friends to finance

I hate these forced "emotional" episodes. Very cheap and corny.

There's nothing brave about being a british atheist.

"Shut up and agree with me", demands bright tumblr feminist who can't spell 'privilege'.

As much as I like these classic episode write ups I can't help but shudder at the prospect of reliving the show's decline in a few seasons :(

It's a French-language classic that's always mentioned in talks of great modern literature but it's probably not that well-known in the English-speaking world.
It's not "deliberately obtuse" at all though I'm not sure what that other guy is talking about.

@eric827:disqus The two other posts I made before that one stated clearly:

@eric827:disqus  I said "Vocal internet atheists like Gervais". I'm in no way saying all atheists on the internet are the same - I am one after all - I just don't subscribe to that pointless brand of hateful religion-bashing that's popular on Reddit and other online cesspools.

@avclub-5d213468da8857324393c707fb3f6f67:disqus  "mildly religious, perfectly decent people" want nothing to do with Ayatollahs or Pat Robertson and it's this kind of idiotic generalizations I'm saying vocal internet atheists are guilty of.

I know "homophobe turns out to be closeted homosexual" is a mostly a cliche but if one bigot fits the trope it's OSC.
