I'm going to keep watching this season, and then we'll see. I won't start something without trying to finish it, so there's no point in bailing on this yet, and next season very well may have a lot more to it.

Thank you for the response, and I agree with and very much respect your thoughts, too. (I like that you mentioned Salinger, because I was toying with the idea of putting him in my own reply, somewhere!)

I'm surprised no one has brought up the cold open yet, a first for this season…What did you guys think of it? I enjoyed it, although it did feel a bit off, though I suppose that may have just been my not being used to that at all.

I don't even act surprised, anymore. "Todd review just went up? That's an 'A'."

…An 'A'?
…An 'A'?
…Really? I find the series is copping out a bit by adding in (or, perhaps more accurately, making much more blatant) things like the Jon/Ygritte relationship (which seems to have ended tonight, hopefully) and the Robb/nurse relationship, which, to me, are just devices used to appeal to a mass audience. It's…
[Here lies a message considered big enough a spoiler to anger others, as vague as it was. My apologies.]
I brought up similar sentiments to a friend of mine last week, and his response describing his own particular pleasure in the show has helped me to at least, somewhat, enjoy it a bit more:
I love Sleigh Bells, but isn't this the third or fourth time they've used them, already? Gotta rep that New York hipster swag.
