It's probably not important that the drifter is 20 something. 30 something probably would work just as well.

@Hated Milk Machine
" I'm tired of Crystal's boring folky shit. We're going to see the same thing every week, an acoustic guitar, strumming some busker garbage."
I thought Siobhan's version of Paint It Black was pretty awesome. I agree with Claire on the screeching at the end (in general, I despise how almost every song sung on Idol has to jump up and have a big "moment" at the end that totally blows up the structure of the song).
" He was probably trained to pilot the Dharma sub when he was in charge of security in '77."
I agree, the implausibility of Sawyer's plan bugged me mainly because I don't think Sawyer's character would hang his hat on such a half-baked plan. For a character who's supposed to be one step ahead of everyone, it sort of doesn't ring true for me. I could see Sawyers character mocking this planning, but I can't…
I agree that Sarah Marshall isn't all that, but the funniest parts were the muppet stuff, so put me in the cautiously optimistic camp.
Anyone else think that when Desmond met Jack in the stadium, he knew who he was? The "see you in another life, brotha" carries new meaning now.
May I please. See. The storage facility?
I like the theory that The Locke-ness Monster is off the island in the alter-reality. I think that's the case and I keep waiting for some big reveal that show the consequence of this, like Rush Limbaugh is president or something.
So…
Ben is on the island for a while and leaves with his dad. It sinks sometime afterward. (side question: is it possible for an island to just sink with everything staying intact?)
Or why doesn't Ben wait until Alex is safely at Yale, then bust out the e-mails?
But what you didn't know is that it's Danger Mouse the cartoon character who collaborates with Mercer on this project… so, in fairness, that IS an unlikely duo.
The previous two posters are a disappointing collaboration.
The last song
is fantastic. I've only listened a couple times, but I'm enjoying the whole thing quite a bit. But The Mall and Misery is up there with the best Shins stuff.
Dear John
It's a shoe-in for an Oscar this year for best original song.
@ Anatole Barber
I can't take the way he sings, but I love the way he talks.
On Comedy
Pretty sure I don't own any comedy albums. My brother had the Bob and Doug McKenzie album when I was growing up. Loved that.
