Not clever enough

While I don't agree that the episode was great, I too missed the hype and I'm wondering where this hype came from. Honestly I feel so out of the loop with this show between Todd's hyperbolic reviews and the over the top praise it gets in the comments. And now I fully expect to get internet yelled at.

Yeah I'm not too big on season 6, although Niagra was a really good episode in spite of having a lot of pressure on it, as was the birth episode. But yeah the show has gone downhill, but it is still worth watching on a weekly basis.

The point is that it is irrational. He just does hate Toby. I know I'm the fourth or fifth person to say it but it needs to be repeated. Its no lazy, it would be lazy if they turned it on and off, but Michael has consistently hated Toby, from his very first appearance on the show. I mean honestly, what do you want

Please, please, please stop referring to them as "the women". I don't want to seem like the oversensitive prick that I actually am, but it just seems wrong.

Not to be a dick
You mention it in the review itself but I think pointing out how disconnected the cold open feels is a really weird criticism. The show has done disconnected cold open bits before, and I think this one was pretty good, up until the end, but Jim at his most dickish has always pissed me off. But yeah

Agrees on Kaitlin Olson and physical comedy. I was worried we wouldn't get too much because of the pregnancy.

I'm fine with it because I'm so bogged down with other stuff to keep up with the three episode pace. So this is good news.

Yes, you're right name, my (I hope) well-thought out posts were just a grab at attention. And @ dgl my problem is that a lot of people on this site seem to find this show a lot, I don't want to say deeper, but that's the only word I can thing of so I'll roll with it, than I do. I think its a consistently funny piece

Having never seen Spaced I can't really comment on that so I'll take your word for it. I do have to say some other people have brought up as a strength what I find as a weakness with the show and that's the characters. Its probably just me but I really don't feel all that invested in the characters, and I think the

Pile on me commenters
So yesterday and today I was bitching at people who came onto the Modern Family board and started bitching about how bad a show that is, and now I'm afraid I'm going to do the same thing with Community. Don't get me wrong I really like Community. Its consistently funny, and with the exception of

@asbestos…How is Modern Family in any way like Community? They premiered the same year. That's it.

I mean yeah it is kind of annoying, but its easy enough to tune out if its really super bothersome. I feel on most episodes though they earn the schmaltz.

Outside of them both being rather dumb there really isn't all the much of a similarity between Phil and Michael Scott. Phil is a relatively successful guy with a happy family and a nice home in the suburbs. Michael is a crushingly lonely guy who lives in a condo that he is going to go to his grave paying for. So yeah

Michael had color coded cards about clients where green meant "go ahead and don't talk about that". That's what springs to mind for me.

Outside of the chesty-ness though her delivery was great tonight, especially that "I don't care for it".

Wolfman you don't like this or Parks and Rec?!!! You need some joy in your life. Two best comedies on TV in my opinion, with It's Always Sunny running really really close behind, and catching up and surpassing every once in a while.

So…
Are we going to get weekly write-ups on this or not. It is definitely a DVR and watch over breakfast type of show for me. I'd love it if this show became a TV Club regular, if only because it'd be a nice change of pace from a lot of the other TV Club shows. But maybe someone besides VanDerWerff should get the

I second this.

You're dead wrong on Seinfeld. His stand up I can take or leave, but the final 3 seasons of the show aren't anywhere close to "bottom feeding". They may not be as super amazing as the earlier seasons, but they are still pretty great.

Be careful talking ill about Knowing. Roger Ebert might be around.
