This looks like the screenwriter(s) were told to write a treatment based only on a box of test-audience feedback cards.
Design is almost always important.
People just take it for granted more than most things.
It definitely looks best in it's simplified black and white version, and while I think the gradient is a bit much it's still better than their old way-too-complicated icon.
I don't know who this Pablo fella is, but that's Nick Sobotka.
It also has the cheapest looking effects in the show's entire run.
Basically, every bad decision Kurt Sutter made with the show, he makes them all at once in the finale.
You should really just watch the finale at least. One of the most unintentionally funny things I've ever seen.
