Avatar was really the parallel stories of Aang and Zuko: two youths who reshaped the world when their lives intertwined. Talk of them being best friends throughout their lives just moved me on a deep nostalgia-filled level. I love that this show and this world can make me feel like that, it's a special thing.

Actually got teary eyed when Iroh was talking about Aang and Zuko's friendship. And the battle at the Nothern Air Temple was easily one of the highest achievements of either Avatar series. Stellar episode.

For better or worse, Gaius was always my favorite character. Rosslin a close second.

Whoah whoah whoah, remember watching these a few years back, they're great! Thanks for reminding me.

I'd say in about the last three years the only truly interesting take on the zombie genre that I've seen was a zombie-centric episode of an anime called Space Dandy. It was inspired. It demands to be checked out.

Out of curiosity I clicked on this 'ocean of cats' profile. He hasn't commented in three years, and all his posts are pretty erudite video-game analysis, which somehow makes the infamy of one writing-fuck up he did so much more funny.

"Master! I don't think you realize what you got here, so why don't you ruminate while I illuminate the possibilities."

We saw a rotted corpse in Korra too. Professor Zei in the Library.

I had a problem with it in Zaheer's very first scene in episode 1 and then never again. I actually forgot that I even had a problem with it until I rewatched that episode.

Delighted delighted delighted that the creators went through with killing off the Earth Queen. They're really good at bringing a death scene to the very limit of what they can get away with on a kid's network, like they did with the ole Tarlock/Amon murder-suicide back in the day. Had to laugh at the fact that they

Don't make a sci-fi thriller about two people trying to stop an alien invasion in Africa and name it Prisoner of War. Get a better title! I'm not sure who I'm directing this at.

I'm pretty certain at this point that Bats v Supes will feel like a bigger 'event' towards the lead up to it, but Caps will be the better movie.

Grummitz: There! The firewall is down! Now's your chance, Mundo! Hurry!

Unavailable in my country is it!? Well, I'll just make my own interconnected universe of superhero movies, with blackjack and hookers!

Tabloid footprints in your hair
Tabloid footprints everywhere
We can't be silent
'Cause they might be giants
And what're we gonna do unless they are.

Have to agree on the My Neighbour Totoro front. Most of the Ghibli movies are pretty much my feel good entertainment really.

Easily one of the better shows on TV right now. But, more importantly, it was the one that surprised me the most. Did not expect to become such a big fan so quickly. My sudden loyalty was then rewarded with an episode that riffed on retro side-scrolling beat 'em ups. Thanks, Alex Hirsch! Keep up the amazing work.

This is exactly the kind of thing I want to read on the internet. I say that with 100% sincerity.

Could they not scruff up his clothes a little bit so that he doesn't look like a comic con attendee who's been taking super good care of his Constantine costume until the big day?

I'd say "Aeris dies" is more of the "Luke, I am your father" of video game spoilers. Marion Crane getting stabbed in the shower's equivalent is probably "This is Raiden, you'll be him for the rest of the game now!"
