HUGE fan of Brave.  Particularly the Celtic themes, the music; and damn if Merida's hair wasn't a fun character in itself.  Okay, it's not the best Pixar movie I've ever seen, but it sure checked off a lot of the boxes for what I like in animation.  Glad you liked it.

BBC America On Demand—

Damn, @avclub-011d0b4fe6835bb3d37ef4e0ea713de6:disqus , that made me laugh real hard!   Oh, man, that's hilarious.  I thought you were going for some kind of pussy joke, but that's waaayyy better.
I wonder if @avclub-c701a997d9bef627835b036efb4eca63:disqus would still be anticipating all those orgasms……talk about

@EvelKareebel:disqus  I almost spit my sandwich through my nose laughing at that one.  Enjoy your weekend!

@Dikachu:disqus  Another good week.  Damn, you're really good at this.

@avclub-011d0b4fe6835bb3d37ef4e0ea713de6:disqus  Ewwww……

It's not an obsession, Ellie.  "Love" is a subjective word; by definition, it can mean lots of different things.  Your analysis is spot on.

You remember what you paid for it?  That's a nice pickup.  I remember when my dad came home from the record store with Close To You, telling us kids he was going to play us some "GOOD rock and roll."  Silly dad.  Joke was on me, though—I've got a decent selection of their music that I found in the $5 used CD bins, and

Every year around Christmas—and it's not that I don't know it's coming—when the radio stations play "Merry Christmas Darling", those first few notes hit the chilly December air and make my eyes get all leaky.  Every year.  Such a beautiful tune and so perfectly sung.  It should be sad, but her voice makes it sound

@avclub-64ad8f3af92ef8d9a1c7dfd7265e577d:disqus  Touche!
And, well played.  I agree with you wholeheartedly.
Thanks for making me smile today.

Actually, @avclub-eb88f156c8ec9d167a9c46d98819cf1c:disqus , you came to the right place.  Savage Dik and Friends will be along presently to give you more perspective than you ever thought possible, and by the end of today, you will have more constructive advice than you will know what to do with.   Good luck, sir.

Oh, also @Eco1970:disqus , "find someone nice".

@unicyclistperiscopes:disqus  You are a great person.  Having already done that same maintenance on my house, I know I would have been looking longingly at those savings trusts when it came time to pay the bills.  ("Dear Nieces,  I hope you will appreciate this small token of my love for you to use at college.  As

@avclub-0e639653c10d1353dfbc8e4a14df280e:disqus  I see what you're getting at.  Thing is, and we don't know, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if that guy did everything in his power to convince her he had plenty of money to lavish upon her; and at what point does she ask for his financial records?  "Fuck it, it's

My parents never promised to pay any of us kids our way through college.  They sent us an allowance every month, and (I think) $100 to help pay for books at the beginning of the school year.  Keep in mind, this was when $100 actually bought more than one book.
In short, all five of us graduated from private

@avclub-9d9fb789a27aa62db7511f14660acf86:disqus Hi.  I'm responding to you in this old post because I don't know how else to be sure you'll get it.  I read your beautiful message from my "letter" in last week's Savage Dik.  As I responded to @Hussman38:disqus at the end of that string, I was a little surprised—yet

@avclub-ec26fc2eb2b75aece19c70392dc744c2:disqus  She seems more like a top, to me.

Thanks, @Hussman38:disqus  .  I didn't see it as condescending.  There was absolutely some truth in there I found helpful.  I took it in the spirit of honest reassessment of one's, well, everything.
Yeah, being single can suck, especially for as long as I have been (and particularly following a long succession of
