I will always defend season 4. Except for the second George Sr. episode, which can go fuck itself sideways.
They have to spend a bit on hot ham water for craft services.
I'm not sure if it's worth it defending season 4 of Family Guy as being funny, especially since I already defended AD season 4 in this very same thread, but how about we all agree season 4 of Community was the Phantom Menace season (little ambition, shitty fan service, backstories we didn't want, lame jokes, mostly…
One of my favorite moments from the show. I'm seriously considering another rewatch (my fourth) even though I know I'll get shit from my family for having watched it just last summer.
I think Poochie is an all-time classic, but Kimmy Goes To A Play feels more in line with later Simpsons constantly patting itself on the back for being faux controversial/subversive.
Well considering it was actually ambitious (though flawed) and not a cheap cash grab, and that it was actually not terrible (with the exceptions of the George Sr. episodes) I'd say that's an exaggeration.
Aren't they the best?
Man, I miss Ebert. I still think about him whenever I see a movie I know he would have absolutely loved. Or hated. Or one I'm not sure what his opinion of it would be. Generally, if I see a new movie, Ebert pops in my head at least for a second.
I'd say the golden age goes up to season 8, though season 9 still has enough great episodes that I wouldn't tell anyone to skip it. From there on, every season has one or two great episodes, and there's a few that I'd even call essential ("Behind The Laughter", "Moe Baby Blues", "Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson…
I agree a lot of the charm comes from growing up with it, and if I watched it for the first time now I'd probably have a hard time seeing how it could compete with something like The Wire (the second greatest show of all time, incidentally).
Counterpoint: The Simpsons is the greatest television show of all time.
It worked in Lethal Weapon 5.
I remember Conan spinning his wedding ring to pass time.
As someone who was never too into Todd Glass in the first place, I'm curious what happened that most fans seem over the show.
In My Life is worse than the Beatles version in my opinion, but it's still fantastic. The original is just one of my favorite songs of all time.
I watched the Starcrash episode of MST3K, which was my favorite of the new ones so far (Cry Wilderness is a close second).
I agree for the most part, though I'll say on my usual streaming site I found it on the front page without a need to even download it, so I don't know how much effort that would really require.
HEYOO!
Yeah Kimmy's much smarter than Trump, and she's actually worked hard to get what she wants in life, and can see through pampered people's bullshit.
