There's no way that wasn't Jon La Joie singing that song in the club, right?
Also "For my post-apocolyptic Jackie Robinson costume-how did you know?" Fan-fucking-tastic.
SIDE-NOTE: Although I don't mind, my roomate's been complaining about the length of the sketches being too long this season, and yeah, I see where…

I was hoping the whole rape thing was only because it was the first joke of the series, and being on right after FG they didn't want to people to think it was that type of show. Even if the big difference is that Mulaney's rape joke was funny .

Hey don't say things you can't take back!

I only saw the credits before B99 started, but that sonig was pretty great, and even in those 30 seconds Offerman was great.

A friends of my roommate thought he was Clay Aiken.

I just watched it recently, and I'd say it was about halfway through the first season.

It became a genuinely funny show?

Although to be honest if he didn't like the Ice-T joke there may be no hope for him. "Or when someone does too many scratchy-lotteries?"

It's like not watching Annie Hall because you just saw Scoop.

I'd say you don't have to check it out next week, but do check out his special.

I literally got hiccups from laughing so hard at that. Also, "You can probably tell I'm…incredibly drunk by now" and Melissa Fumero's face walking away after she yelled at Holt.

Mulaney reviews: Pilot

"Wait, so you're telling me this guy burned down his house to get insurance money?"

I would rather watch Law & Order: Mulaney Unit:

Eh, it was funnier when it was announced the show was cancelled. That news depressed people, and the comment made them laugh. Plus, by now it's really obvious it's coming.

He actually got Ice-T to do the "Mulany is filmed in front of a live studio audience" thing.

If you're driving down take I-90, 'cus I-95's got some quicksand. It's looks like regular sand, but then you're gonna start to sink.

"Wait a minute, you're telling me this guy gets off on little girls with pig tails?"

From what I've read it improves quickly, it's just the pilot that's bad. But the pilot's TERRIBLE. Like, bad enough to drive people away forever.

I wondered recently when I saw the ads if after Mulany put together this really well made pilot for NBC that got rejected for something like Whitney, he decided make a big "fuck you, network TV" deconstruction of a sitcom like that.
