Yeah, our draft was around the end of August. When the news broke I was up in the Twin Cities for work and it was all everyone was talking about. I did get to say, "What about the REAL victims here, the people that drafted AP with their first round pick?"

Adrian Peterson, Montee Ball, Zac Stacy, and Khiry Robinson. I did manage to pick up Jeremy Hill and Mark Ingram off the wire so it's not a complete black hole.

I did this last year and finished last in my league. This year I focused in on RBs, ended up dropping all of them for waiver wire pickups, and still secured first round bye.

I ended up dropping all four of the RBs I drafted, included the #1 overall pick, but somehow my patchwork waiver wire pickups got my team into the playoffs.

Those are both off of Brighter Than Creation's Dark.

I'm on an eight game winning streak with Smokin' Jay Cutler as my QB with Sanchez as the back-up. I even streamed Teddy Bridgewater during Cutler's bye and he somehow managed a good game. Actually I think my DEF has been doing most of the heavy lifting.

My friend named his cat Becker after the show. It's still around, the cat that is.

That Constantines/THS tour came through Madison just about a month before I got into both bands. I really wish I'd have gone to see them.

It certainly is, and I maintain a soft spot for the covers album too.

I've always wanted to make the trip down but it's never quite worked out. The Fest comps have introduced me to a lot of good bands as well.

I'd normally be against the Giants based on my long-simmering enmity from the 1989 NLCS (fucking Will Clark) but since they dispatched the Cardinals I'm happy all around. It would be nice to see the Royals pull it off but I just don't see it.

I had Cousins as my back-up QB in my work fantasy league. Had him starting since Foles was on a bye. It wasn't pretty.

It must have been on TV since my mother taped it, which is how I ended up seeing it so many times as a kid. I believe it was Uma Thurman as Maid Marian, not Robin Wright Penn.

That was a great death scene, especially how he falls on to the rope for the church bells. Prochnow was a pretty good villain in this movie.

I remember that from the liner notes but I never put it together.

I bought a 160 GB one for my sister last month. It was one of two left at Best Buy.

Papillon is my father's favorite movie so I've seen it quite a few times. I love the scene at a leper colony, and Dustin Hoffman talking to his pigs is a sentimental favorite of mine.

I've seen Masked Intruder play a lot of shows in Madison. My buddy always bitches that they're a "gimmick band" but they're so goddamn fun live.

This was my experience as well. I was watching S4 in syndication and the finale was just a gut punch. I was commiserating with a friend a week later and he told me about the PKW mini-series.
