On a related note this was the most I've ever laughed at the mention of "Shoah."

Oof, that's a lot. I had maybe eight, including one large banker's box that I used for most of my bigger hardcopy volumes. My father dubbed it the Widowmaker because that thing weighed close to 80 lbs.
I had a span of seven years where I moved eight times. I threw out my heavy as fuck sleeper sofa and ditched my kitchen table but I never once tossed a book or a record. Granted those were the only things of actual value I owned.
I'm sort of the same way. I've always been more of a whole-album listener as opposed to one or two songs.
I've always been dismayed to hear about the BSA's treatment of non-believers as I never had an issue when I
was in the Scouts, but from the sounds of it I was fortunate to be in a
progressive troop in a good council.
Me too. I even crossed out the religious leader reference on my Eagle application and instead included a reference from my high school principal. Of course my troop was part of the Madison council and not exactly known for its obedience to the conservative orthodoxy of the national leadership.
Yeah, I had a hard time with that too. He was so fucking funny but that king and queen shit was hard to get through.

Me too, especially because he takes the time to retweet the people telling him to shut up. It's just funny to me that people argue with celebrities on Twitter.

A dude asked me to stop yell-singing at a Lucero show because he was filming it with his iPhone next to me. Admittedly I sing for shit but it's Lucero - everyone's singing for shit.

The Hold Steady are always great but the last time I saw them (an outdoor show in Madison in September) they took it to a new level. Maybe it was because I hadn't seen a really good show in a while but I was just blown away.

Isbell is a fucking pro. I've seen him four times since he went solo and have never been less than impressed.

My friend enjoys seeing bands in person but absolutely hates every single thing that goes along with it. If he was super rich he'd be the kind of guy that would hire a band to play his backyard with no one else there.

I still do, and although I knew it was online I usually preferred working it out on paper.
