Exactly. I don't bother watching the first-run episodes anymore because of this but when the occasional good one comes around I'll catch it on my buddy's DVR. He still watches them all, the poor bastard.

Fucking Plymouth Navy Strength Gin, man. That shit'll get right up on you. A friend of mine brought a few bottles back from the UK and after three G&Ts I was lit the fuck up.
That was a great one. I've been listening to the podcasts on work trips, usually coming back from long drives. I heard this particular one coming back from MN after 13 hours in the car. No doubt influenced by fatigue, I absolutely lost my shit when he made that ruling.
"What's the story on that dog?"
I saw Incendies Friday night and I was really impressed. I was in a shitty mood after working late then listening to the Badger hockey team get pounded, and I almost decided against watching it. I'm glad I chose otherwise; that was an amazing movie and I thought about it all weekend long.
I really love that movie. I first saw it on IFC a few years back with my old roommate and he still will drop "You just don't have the requisite Celtic soul, man" on me all the time.
Me too. Plus the swag will make a perfect present for my sister, as she has become a recent convert after reading one of the anthologies while she was staying at my place this past summer.
There was talk about going to see The Rum Diary this weekend but nothing came of it. Between a hockey game Friday night and a party on Saturday I didn't have a ton of time. I did waste away my hangover hours on Saturday watching Cursed which was really not a good movie though I did get a laugh out of the publicist…
I acted like the movie didn't do much for me coming out of the theater, but I had a 30 minute drive home alone through the dark Wisconsin countryside after seeing the late showing and by the time I made it back to my parents' place I was fucking terrified.
I saw them on the Ska Against Racism tour and I really liked their first song but hated the rest of their set. I didn't know they were a faith-based band at the time and only learned it after someone accused me of disliking them only because they were Christian. And yet I still have a FIF track on my iPod that comes…
I like to imagine everything is Seaquest DSV.
I had caribou once, thinly sliced and served hot in a sandwich with a wild rice gouda. Fucking delicious.
Perkins: "Captain, I've got to admire your balls."
Blackadder: "Perhaps later"
I was traveling for work during the week and spent Wednesday night in a hotel. That movie was on HBO and I watched the last 30 minutes before heading out to a nearby bar to drink my day away. I didn't mind it the first time I saw it but I was with some friends and half in the bag. Watching it sober was no fun.
It was a perfect Indian summer weekend in WI so I didn't spend much time at home. I'd considered going to Ides of March on Saturday night but our plans fell through and I ended up watching Skateland. I picked it out since the trailers reminded me of Adventureland a bit. There were a few similarities but overall it…
I saw Nothington play with Direct Hit! and the Cobra Skulls last week and they were great. My only regret was I neglected to hit up an ATM beforehand and didn't have the cash to pick up their new one (and Cobra Skull's too) at the end of the night. After getting a couple rounds and having to pay my buddy's cover as…
I've seen a good number of bands covering "American Girl" lately, but the Gaslight Anthem's version was definitely my favorite.
My friend Mark is from Merrill and he's pretty cool, though probably not as cool as Danilova.
I saw Everything Must Go on Friday night. Will Ferrell was quite good and there were a few funny moments but as a whole I didn't really get on board with it. This is probably more to do with the fact that I wanted to kick back and have a few beers and watching a movie about a guy falling off the wagon doesn't really…
I did the same although I wasn't exposed to O.A.R. until right before I graduated. I still like them more than DMB, which my roommates played all of the fucking time.
