I fell asleep to this last night, so in that way it was a success.

I didn't really care for Defiance but the parts I did like involved the relationship between her and Jamie Bell's characters.

I feel the same way about it but I'm still listening.  I found I enjoy them more when I'm driving since I can kind of tune out the shittiness of the callers.

I was at a Cubs-Brewers game earlier this year and after hearing Axford come out to that song was partly awesome since it's a great song but partly sad since my new favorite player was playing against my Cubs.

My cousin in MS is eight years older than me and was big into horror movies in the 80's.  On one of our trips down there I was staying in his room on an air mattress and I watched some of Nightmare on Elm Street.  I was six, way too young for that shit.  It really fucked me up.

Yeah, I was sorry to see the Madison Borders close.  I lived further down University Avenue from campus and I spent a lot of weekends at Borders browsing for books and getting coffee.

I saw The Girl Who Played With Fire Friday night.  I didn't like it as much as the first one and I thought the ending was borderline fucking ridiculous.

@avclub-404bfdece06f0fc5ba56bef1e19d8896:disqus : the Twin Cities exurbs and the southern farming counties are definitely Republican strongholds but the northern parts of the state tend to go Dem.  I was pleasantly surprised how cool the Range Cities are.

His "Probably wants to be a hero" line was absolutely perfect.

I watched Season of the Witch Friday night because I mistakenly believed that Cage and Perlman had to be good.  I guess it wasn't a complete waste of time but it suffered from having seen The Black Death two weeks ago.

That's not really accurate with respect to the Wisconsin protests.  Anecdotal as it may be, of all the public employees I know not a one wanted out of their respective union.

Jessup hung two of his Marines out to dry.  It is very possible to not root for him in that movie.

Definitely.  It took me a few spins before I had a chance to read the lyrics and then the song was elevated to a whole new level for me.

"Hey, I was in the neighborhood. I thought I'd come by and take a shit."

I was in San Francisco over the weekend and went to Pier 39 because my sister heard there would be sea lions.  There were a lot of Germans there.

FIGNUTS!

My roommate was tall, skinny and quiet, prone to going to bed and waking up a lot earlier than me. He was also into vampires, and this was 1998 so I guess he can now rightly say he was into them before everyone else. We were both engineering majors but he was better at it. I was better at getting fucked up though.

Stones, Dylan and Springsteen
For every family vacation we took when I was younger my mother would load up a large box of cassettes containing an assortment of rock from the 60's and 70's. My parents' record collection was fairly substantial and around 1985 they bought a new stereo with a dual tape deck so they could

I asked my cousin in MS and she said milk punch was definitely a New Orleans thing but wasn't unheard of on the Gulf Coast.
