hipster hell
I watched this. All of it. And I couldn't stop laughing for the full two hours. The only problem is that I can't tell if I was genuinely enjoying it or if I was ironically enjoying it. Dammit!

crappy
This show sucks. Last new episode was ok. This one sunk back into crapitude. It's boring, people, and it's a caricature. Sucked. A lot.
Nope, that's not what I mean. What I mean is the "religion is the cause of all the world's problems" part. On the "there is no god" point, I agree. Hitchens, however, argues that religion is destroying the world and in support says stupid shit like "religion has killed more people than any other belief system." …
Agent, you're trying to rip me up for a general phrase?
Seriously?
I'm sorry Nathan, but you've made me question your taste. Neither Forrest Gump nor Pulp Fiction have worn the years well. Forrest Gump becoming all the worse for being nothing but boomer nostalgia. Pulp Fiction just never was all that good. While it certainly inspired a lot of people to make crappy…
Charlie Wilson's War
Remember when war was fun?
Bah Hitchens
Hitchens' argument about religion is very 10th grade. I don't see any reason to worry about what he has to say.
you're probably right.
The Simpsons
That was the best episode of The Simpsons in probably the past 10 years. I really enjoyed it for the first time in a long time. To me it felt like they learned the lessons of the movie and decided to push their characters a little farther and definitely outside the normal range.
Nice work
best one you've written in a while, Nathan.
Urge to kill
rising.
At first when I read that I thought, "this can't be that bad," but it is.
Better
I watched this show last night for the first time since I gave up on it for being interminably boring about half way through the first season. I enjoyed this episode in part I think because this murder subplot was actually interesting, if somewhat unrealistic.
Bania!
that is all.
KOTH
It was kind of a retread of a lot of things they've done with Bobby. When the diversity training guy told everyone to go home and research their heritage, that seemed like an allusion to Bobby's previous white supremacist comedy routine, but it didn't turn into anything.
well done
that was well done, especially if he did both parts. It'd be hard to lay down the tracks independently and then put them together.
Anglo-saxons were germanic tribes. Sweden and denmark are by definition norse. Yes, you should stay in school.
Not really in accord with the original poem
I'm sorry to be a high school english nerd, but this movie can't be close to the original poem. The tagline for the move is "Pride is the Curse" or something like that. But that just doesn't work. Pride, or hubris, was the typical tragic flaw in ancient Greek poems. But…
Angry Disinterest
I hope this thing gets panned, and this is a decent start. I heard an interview with DePalma recently in which he said he made the movie because he thinks the media isn't telling the whole story of the war in Iraq.
I'm not hating on it so much, really. It's not for me, but maybe some people will like it. After listening to it hear, I went to their myspace site to hear some more. I wasn't wowed by the song above, but if the AV Club is going to give it an A, I figure it deserves a chance. In any case, on their site, they call…
