You're supposed to write, "FIRST!" when you get the first comment.

Frank Oz
is a dick. I don't think I've ever seen an interview like this—where the subject continually interrupts the questioner, continually contradicts the premise of the question, and offers such short answers. Yep, Frank Oz is a dick.

Eshatologist
I agree with you. The unrated version of Talladega Nights made more sense. It's narrative was more complete. And it had some pretty damn good jokes, like the scene where he's delivering pizzas on a bus.

Babel
was fucking terrible. I guess I had high hopes since I have a thing for movies with exotic locales, but Babel made me so fucking angry.

Stallone
While Stallone never overachieves, I liked Copland and Oscar. Oscar isn't supposed to be a deep commentary on life, it's just a farce. And by that standard it makes out pretty well. I'm not sure exactly what I like about Copland, but I've always enjoyed it. Something about how heroism can ruin your life.

What does the AVClub like?
I have to admit that there are a number of films listed above which I genuinely enjoy. So, what sort of comedy do the AV Club reviewers like?

I love their EPs
I didn't even know they had a full length album coming out, but I love their EPs. Very good stuff that is always on my playlist.

Boo Radiohead
This is the reason I despise Radiohead. Bunch of pretentious asshats.

That was hilarious
David Cross's was awesome there. Very funny.

JesusJones
It's a lot easier if you are selling the drugs to the pregnant woman you are punching in the face.

Sports Night
I have to agree with Arturo regarding Sports Night. For a while it seemed fresh and interesting, but it's really a piece of shit. What's truly fucked up about it is how Sorkin recycled aspects of his characters on Sports Night in The West Wing. That alone was one of the main reasons I hated The West

RE: How?
I'm not sure if this works to explain how Coke can say their product can't be photographed, but it might be an unauthorized use of copyrighted material. In any case, maybe they didn't say that it couldn't be photographed. Maybe they just paid the movie producers to change the film.

Huckabees Sucked
I really don't understand the love of that film. Meaningless drivel. These people got this angry in making that steaming pile? What the hell for?

The first interview
really was great. How many questions did the AV Club get out? Two maybe?

Tilly
I was standing in that alley for Tilly, but I figured the sound sucked because I was behind the speakers. I walked around to the front and the sound still sucked. They just sounded a little dead. I'm not sure that they would have sounded any better inside, but there were throngs of people absorbing sound, so

You're Not As Cool As You Think You Are
That headline could describe Austin, man. One of my friends described SXSW this way:

Ouch
I can't imagine how SXSW is going to get any better. They seem intent on expanding it every year even though it is beyond obvious that the city does not have the infrastructure to support it at this point.

Stupidity is infinite
Wouldn't real punk furniture be something like a stained, worn out mattress bent into a L shape against a wall thus forming some sort of chair? Or at least a simplistic and functional chairs that deconstruct baroque furniture styles?
