Bowie
Low and Heroes together would be my number 1 pick for the year. But I guess that comes down to personal taste. The two Side 1's of those albums are just jaw-dropping, amazing. Songs like "Sons of the Silent Age," "A New Career in a New Town," not to mention the title track from "Heroes" of course. Absolutely

Chomet
Saw 'The Illusionist' this afternoon, so so good. It should win for Animated Feature. But then again Fantastic Mr. Fox didn't win last year….

Mirman's delivery is always spot-on, but what absolutely MADE the gag was the boombox he needed to get into character. Funny stuff.

Violence
I love the way this show uses violence. It is amazing the way it balances being absolutely hilarious and crazy disturbing simultaneously. I'm especially thinking of how Mirman's character enabled himself to brutally strangle people a few episodes back by acting like he's playing the great Russian train

I think that Cumberbatch would make an excellent Master, but with this Sherlock series the casting would seem a bit too…..obvious.

Already plenty covered on Doctor Who reviews…..
but I really never get tired of the fun, gleeful, kinetic narrative style that is always found in a Moffatt series (not to downplay Gatiss). If only every show runner brought this spirit of inventiveness and experimentation to television.

Contrary opinion
I actually found this to be a really satisfying episode. Although it seemed like mostly set-up, it left me eager to see what exactly it's setting up for. Daniel's continued to descent into crime is both sad and entertaining (although I do regret the use, or non-use, of Adama). It was kind of scary

Based on a movie
I'm not planning on watching this show, but I find it weird that no review I've read has mentioned that it's based on a 2006 movie also called Outsourced, also about a novelty company middle manager going to run a call center in India. The movie was decidedly mediocre and uninteresting, but were some

woah woah woooooah. "The First Part" is the best song Superchunk has ever recorded. Well…at least it's my personal favorite. I can rock it out to that song on repeat.

I kept expecting Angel Bob to say "Hey, who turned out the lights?"

damn, i watched this episode a couple of weeks back and i didn't notice any of this! i tend to get wrapped up in the storylines and miss these details….being one of the few who was completely caught off guard with the bad wolf stuff at the end of series 1.

meh
I had high expectations for this album after hearing 'Friendly Ghost' which I still think is an awesome song. But the rest of the album is just kind of there, not very exciting.

Amazing album
Absolutely no one has actually talked about or seemed to listen to the new album here. I listened to it twice in a row from start to finish and I think it's absolutely amazing. Arguing all day long about which is their best is all well and good but there are so many great songs and moments on this new
