Shepherd's Dog
I loved Shepherd's Dog so thoroughly that this is going to earn the rare buy-before-hearing.

Lucksmiths - Warmer Corners
My favorite album ever, and I don't even think it got reviewed here. And not even I am particularly interested in anything else they've done.

Whooty, I have not read Hominids, but I just read the Wikipedia page for it, and it sounds like a heaping pile of shit that would fit right in with Flashforward. Poorly-thought-out sociology, random-ass technology, sneering-atheism (and I'm basically that myself), all wrapped up in a "noble savage" cliche. Blech.

Flashforward by Robert J. Sawyer
I read the Flashforward novel about ten years ago, and I remember it as terrible.

Chudley, I can't imagine a cop show that could get to the level of Three Men and Adena, but that doesn't mean 1-8-7 isn't pretty good. It's a cop show that's trying to bring some quality to the material; until Chicago Code premieres next month, is there another show in that category on a network?

I somewhat recently rewatched the earlier seasons and it was much better than I remembered it. The dynamics of the characters, aside from the central will-they-won't-they nonsense, was lot of fun before Izzie became one of the least likable characters on tv. And this current season has also been a big step up.

Dropped In
I dropped in on the last 20 minutes of this waiting for Detroit 1-8-7, and holy shit was the "soul" stuff bad. How do you discover the concept of a soul and decide it's the one thing standing in your way? Is there an accepted human definition of what it is? And it's the seat of emotions? And they need

Better Off Dead Win

Gnomeregan (H) / Firestride

I actually really like Better With You, but it clearly needs to follow How I Met Your Mother on Mondays on CBS, not precede Modern Family. It would instantly be the second best show on CBS.

Honestly, I was on board once Busy Phillips taught me what a line reading could do with "I think you left this at the bar!" in the pilot. It took a while for the rest of the show to get there, but I really think you could see the potential from the first.

Ambiguity
I didn't actually get much ambiguity from Adele. I thought that she did have some feelings too, but knew 99% of the time that they were just countertransference. I thought she really betrayed that, as well as the existence of the other 1% of the time, last night when she was getting increasingly desperate

My favorite babysitter took me to see that movie in theatres when I was [checking wikipedia] 4. And you're forgetting the (I believe) successful murder and drug use.

Tricia
I'm sorry, how do we know Paul was actually in love with Tricia?

Love and Other Drugs is Britta and Jeff in a terrible romantic comedy.

Capt., we don't need South Park's help to realize that hindsight is frequently useless. I'm pretty sure the ancient Greeks realized that. Seriously.

Oh, and also, one of Abed's Robocop things said "Confirm Mom for Xmas," which seems important.

Daemon
Well that was a random-ass Golden Compass reference.

Hindsight
I take issue with their apparent intention with Captain Hindsight. Reporters do plenty of predictive work. For instance, right now everyone's writing that if the newly Republican House decides it just wants to stop the President from accomplishing anything, America's going to get more fucked. Or if they

Two Things
1: This and not Three Men and Adena? Really?
